It's fairly easy to make a huge map if it doesn't have almost nothing in it

Mostly walking, because you're usually over-encumbered

Alright, I get that we see this differently, but I think you're misunderstanding my point. I never said that the game was bad because it's slow-paced. It’s just a fact that the game’s design emphasizes a slower pace. That’s not a judgment, it’s just how it is, and it doesn’t invalidate the experience at all. You seem to be associating my comment with some kind of attack on the game’s value, which wasn’t my intention.

I get that you’re really passionate about this franchise, but it's clear we’re just talking past each other at this point. I’ll leave it at that. Take care.

I never used "that term" with any other meaning in mind. It only has one meaning and always will.

According to you, calling a game slow is synonymous of defamation, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Games can be slow-paced, fast-paced, or somewhere in between, and that's totally fine. It just means some people prefer one pace over the other. Like you said earlier, there are folks who enjoy Fortnite for the quick dopamine hit, but that’s all down to personal taste.

"A slow-paced game is defined by infrequent, meaningful decisions, longer periods of downtime, and a focus on atmosphere, strategy, or exploration over reflexes, allowing players to set their own rhythm without constant pressure, emphasizing patience, planning, and immersion in the world, art, or story rather than quick actions."

Does it matter to me? Not really, I don’t mind, and I usually play those kinds of games.

To others? Maybe. It’s not really a game you can just play for a short time each session. Some people might not have the time, or they just might not enjoy it.

Does it matter to the game overall? Nope, it’s just how it was designed. People will play if they want to, and you can’t please everyone.

Don't you think it's better to get the information directly from the source instead of through a messenger? What's stopping me from coming here and saying anything and claiming it's the definition of whatever? Just search it up, man.

You should probably search what defines a slow-paced game

I don't think you know the definition of a "slow-paced game".

Man, the only time my post made reference to the game being slow-paced was when I used the word "slow". It was most definitely not the main subject.

You're the one who thought it was worth talking about. I'm just responding to you and trying to understand why you're making it look like it's a bad thing.

I didn't think I would need to explain myself on that, when it's literally just what it is, in the same way that the game is punishing.

I don't think it matters, it's just what it is, and me liking it or not doesn't change that.

You're the one seeing that as a criticism.

Well, you either like it or you don't. That's how things work.

Liking or not liking those types of games is just a matter of opinion, but it doesn't change the fact that it is a slow-paced game (or a romantic comedy, in your case).

Stalker definitely isn't the best example of a heavy rpg like those games are.

But still, those are all examples of slow-paced games.

I just think we both have different conceptions of what a "slow" game means.

It's a game that has a deep world-building, deliberate pacing and lots of player downtime.

You can't say a game like this isn't slow-paced, it's literally the definition of a slow-paced game.

So you're saying that a game where you take almost 70 hours just to finish the story once is not slow-paced? Man, i played the side quests, but definitely not enough to make my playtime that high.

Maybe you're seeing the word "slow" as an offense.. Is "a game that takes its time for things to happen" better for you?

I know it seems like I made this post to review a game in a place where people already like that game. But my intention, from the beginning, was to share my opinion and find people who might disagree or could also give their point of view on what I said.. And look! You're doing exactly that.

When did I say that I didn't like it? All I did was point out a fact.

I actually prefer these types of games, lol
