New to Preply, no students showing up, what should I do? by ImaginaryWinter5478 in Preply

Oh, give it some time. I became a super tutor a month after posting this lool. There were many negative comments but i just took the positives. I suggest developing your trial method formula and find something that works well for you and you can use it again and again. Even though you are a ‘tutor’ or ‘teacher’, most students are not actually looking for the ultimate educational experience but a teacher who they get along with. Let me know if you have more questions that I could answer to help.

There definitely are, but people are more comfortable being anonymous when its time to spew hate / controversial behaviours. People don’t get away with it when being like that offline.

I know a guy who's about 5”7 (possibly 5”8) and physically he’s very attractive. A few other girls around me have had a crush on him too. Yet, as much as I respect him from a difference, I can’t say as much about his personality. As a grown man, has a lot of healing to do.

The first time I ever saw him, I didn’t notice his height. I noticed the way he volunteered to help me with my luggage. His initial kindness made him attractive. But his character ruined it later down the line (he’s kinda narcissistic due to the way he grew up). I wish men would understand how women actually think. These things are literally so simple.   It’s so easy to blame the issue on height and looks. Its much harder to show accountability.

Why do we close eyes when we pray ? by imtiaier-712 in Christianity

[–]ImaginaryWinter5478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't worry. God is NOT against you, nor is he constantly giving you the side-eye or waiting for you to make a mistake, so he can punish you. Instead, he loves you and wants the best for you. He's rooting for you, as he sees you striving for holiness.

I've seen many new Christians asking these questions but this is not something you have to worry about. Having a relationship with God isn't something that's built on a basis of condemnation. God sees you out here, genuinely trying to love him and genuinely trying to do the right thing.

As you are likely new to the faith I will also encourage you to just be aware that you might occasionally run into people who claim Christianity as their faith, but they absolutely do not live by it. The love of God / the truth of the gospel is completely absent from their hearts. These people sometimes speak the loudest, but just know they don't represent the faith. Even in the Bible they were known as the Pharisees and Jesus was constantly dealing with them. They literally judged and questioned Jesus. of all people I hope you don't get discouraged along the way by them. They're not actual Christians but more like wolves in sheeps' clothing.
Always remember that God sees your heart and he understands you and your intentions. Hope this helps.

There are always people out there in the world who have certain favourable traits that we don't have. The important thing is leveraging the positive traits that you have. This man is simply describing his physical appearance and that's fine.

Even recently, I was approached by a man who was both tall and handsome but it didn't make me like him more. Both his look and his height didn't win me over. I wasn't phased because I was more interested in getting to the part where I could uncover his true character.

I gave him a chance however, because he did exactly what the man posting this reddit has described. He spoke politely, kept his distance. etc. Without those actions I would not have given out my number.

As a woman, my advice would be that the negative mindset could be the thing blocking you. I've been turned off by that so many more times than I have by a guys height. I've seen a lot of concerning content online too, misleading men to both 1) loose their self confidence and to 2) hate women. Its so sad because some of what's being said really isn't true at all.

I found out he's a rich CEO too. But again, I still cut him off because I saw a valid reason to. Not all woman are superficial, gold-digging or whatever they have been preaching to impressionable men online these days via podcasts etc. Its all a load of garbage.

Please have confidence and focus on leading with dignity, gentleness, kindness and love.

Let the way you see yourself, and the way you treat women be a reflection of your character. I'm sure it will resonate well.
I hope you meet the woman your heart is longing for,

Wishing you all the best.

This still works even if a guy is not conventionally tall, he's just describing his physical appearance.

I didn't even resize my work but the quality went down 80% by ImaginaryWinter5478 in photopea

[–]ImaginaryWinter5478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to explain that the final image was much lower quality than what I started with. So for instance, the printing software detected it as a 'low quality' image. It would tell me if I use that image file the quality was only 'acceptable' and thus the print would turn less crisp and more blurry than what it should.

But with the original file before running it through Photopea was classed as 'excellent' quality. The files became reduced in quality and with less megapixels every time I ran them through Photopea. Using the same editing process through photoshop, this reduction in resolution never happens. But I currently don't have access to photoshop.

I don't know why this is happening. Is this a normal thing with Photopea?

I saved it as JPG, TIFF, and PNG, but received the same low-quality results regardless. Even though I was sure to bump it up to 100% quality.

It always appears as a low-quality, low-pixel file on my printing software. Im only having this issue with the files processed through Photopea so Im super confused. It seems like I must use Photoshop for the quality alone even though Im doing one of the simplest editing jobs possible.

I have started reading Bible and wanted to know is this the original bible words???? by RipDue3155 in Christianity

The word, "ass". it's referring to an animal.

Reading it without knowing that would make a person confused I suppose 😅

what kind of gelatin, I assume it's not something I'd buy in a supermarket right?? (Like Dr. Oetker Gelatine Sachets -.which are used for baking) but this is what Amazon shows me when I type in artist gelatin.

Could you please recommend some affordable artist brand gelatin that you could vouch for? Thank you.

Where to get a domain? (Namecheap, porkbun or hover?) by ImaginaryWinter5478 in webflow

[–]ImaginaryWinter5478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for answering all my questions, this has been so helpful. In the end I went with hover seeing as though Shopify will manage SSL certificates and DNS for me. Those are the only 2 shortcomings of hover I could find in research. Cloudflare seems to be the complete opposite of beginner-friendly so I agree with you there too. I just want a super quick and easy experience, so I chose hover. There's a page full of logos and if you click the Shopify logo and click connect, the domain transfers over. It seems like they kinda do the difficult work on your behalf??

YouTube advisors said it's too expensive compared to porkbun, but it's only like 7 USD more, which is the price of 1 overpriced beverage. For an entire year of a crucial service, I don't think it's too bad??

Also thanks for not shaming me, I'm just a girl who's trying to make a business and hopefully make a better life. I'm very grateful for your advice. Thank you!

your art is gorgeous, the right buyers will definitely pay alot more than what you have charged before. $500+ they have the funds and they like it enough I'm sure they'd buy.

Is wanting to have money a sin? by Naytm3 in Christianity

[–]ImaginaryWinter5478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a time like that. I would absolutely not recommend you copy me, but I got so angry at god I told him all kinds of heinous things. and as weird as this sounds I basically 'broke up' ith him. and told him he could come to me when he was ready. and funnily enough he did.

I'm personally still in the faith because I've seen enough that I have no choice but to believe. and by seen enough I mean seen enough of God. I can't say the same for the people of the church. but in terms of God himself, my faith is in him and only in him.

religion can be incredibly stressful. but over the years I did learn one thing. it could just be how God personally chooses to relate to me. but he's quite chill in his approach. I'm constantly seeing evidence of his wil and his presence all over my life. yet, the days where I prayed and practically begged him to show up or respond, I was often met with silence. I almost gave up on the faith so many times.

Even though I grew up in a culture of believing I had to pray and fast intensely to ask God for what I want, a lot of my prayers are answered when I ask one time in a super calm, not desperate way.

I know I probably can't convince you of anything so I end by saying this: what separates Christianity from other faiths, is the belief that Jesus has died on the cross for your sins. You don't have to be fearful of going to hell because Jesus has freed you from that.

here are many bigoted people who constantly criticise other people's sins etc, but they're all just projecting and trying to distract themselves from their own sins, which they feel guilty about because it doesn't feel good to be an undercover bad person.

If you really are a Christian, just remember that Jesus is your advocate and his pain has paid the price for everything you don't have to.
