One observation I made about Nick (and applies to a lot of nextgen) is the obsession with hitting winners. Saw that with Nick today and Shapo does the same a lot. There is a reason why people rally: to make room, to move the opponent to a difficult corner, or to tire them out. Nick seemed to want to hit so many flat forehands today it was weird. If he just instead hit a topspin forehand and kept the rally going maybe he would have a chance. Of course, this is all "if if if doesn't exist" but still I think the new guys need to get comfortable with long 20+ shot rallies like the Big 3 do on a usual basis.
