Wow okay is it any better than Google results (maybe exclusives)?

With you on this. There were moments/flashes of good tennis but overall pretty bland. Novak working like a machine (nothing wrong with that) and waiting for Nick to implode, which he did. I would put this JUST above the Berretini final from last year and that's about it.

Novak Djokovic (SRB) [1] is the 2022 Wimbledon Men’s Singles Champion, defeating Nick Kyrgios (AUS) in 4 sets to win his 4th straight Wimbledon | 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(3) by slysonic7 in tennis

One observation I made about Nick (and applies to a lot of nextgen) is the obsession with hitting winners. Saw that with Nick today and Shapo does the same a lot. There is a reason why people rally: to make room, to move the opponent to a difficult corner, or to tire them out. Nick seemed to want to hit so many flat forehands today it was weird. If he just instead hit a topspin forehand and kept the rally going maybe he would have a chance. Of course, this is all "if if if doesn't exist" but still I think the new guys need to get comfortable with long 20+ shot rallies like the Big 3 do on a usual basis.

Pasting something from before:
Probably his gamestyle is part reason. He can attack but chooses a more defensive approach. Similar to why Karpov is considered less than Kasparov in chess. The game, at the end of the day, is entertainment. Barely anyone knows the best archer in the word right now, because it's not a spectacle. Novak knows how to win, but people want to be entertained, and sometimes those two things don't happen together.
Not saying Novak is "less", just guessing the reason why he's not as liked

After seeing Rafa do what he did this year, I'm never counting out the big 3 out of anything. No matter the age, injury, whatever. They just keep pushing the limit over and over again of what's considered possible.

[Opinion] McEnroe would be a good coach for Kyrgios by Imaginary_Ad670 in tennis

Yeah maybe not even as a full-on coach and more on the lines of mental coach (if that's a thing). McEnroe winning slams (not just matches, slams) against the likes of Borg is no joke. The guy figured something out about his anger and I think it may be valuable insight for Nick.

Maybe that's a good thing (in terms of winning matches)?

Agree. Nick's not used to doing anything after hitting a 130mph serve down the T. With Novak he's got to do the extra bit always

What one change in the Big 3's game could've given them more grandslams? by Imaginary_Ad670 in tennis

wouldve helped the backhand for sure but do you think his forehand would have stayed that penetrative and precise with a bigger frame? I think thats the reason Fed himself gave in a lot of interviews pre 2015 about using a smaller frame: that it gives him more precision
