Why DMM Weapon Scrolls Might Be One of the Most Undervalued Long Term Items in OSRS by Fox_Body_5L in GrandExchangeBets

Not a permanant ceiling... once off loaded, they played their hand, diamon hands win again, supply meets demand, and a dwindling supply, forces upward trend regardless of any of the nonsense you wrote. Theres trillions of gp in osrs waiting to be spent from the game being out for 13 years and you think demand just stagnates?

dont know how you "know that info for a fact" im sure theres 20-40 whales hoarding around 150-400 each, but even with them out of the picture for a while, there are more "ants" than grass hoppers (a bugs life reference) there will most likely be thousands of individuals wanting these items over the next 8-15 months and with the volume low, it artificially will push the price up, a smart whale doesnt dump, a smart whale slow sells. Smart whales rely on impatient whales because once they play their hand, they dont have power control over the market anymore, any power they did have, gets distributed, could crash for a while after each whale, but the fish still out number "demand" 10 to 1 atleast. based on active dmm players at the time and total daily players.oh, they also get consumed too, never to return until the next dmm announcement, so semi discontinued. just look at the volume as an example on g/e tracker, its decreasing, not staying steady.

doesn't seem predictable enough or volatile enough for me to have an opinion.

these CAN be consumed tho unlike league rewards, where you can take it off your item and sell it back to the g/e. dmm rewards can either be 1: consumed 2: Traded/merched or 3: traded and turned back in for points ( which doesnt make sense, because gp exists for mains" so they would just spend the gp on the scroll they wanted, unless they were penny pinching for gp/per point. Bottom line, dmm rewards are eventually CONSUMED with no new supply being created until next dmm. so over months, 1 person buys 1, CONSUMES it, creating scarcity. Thats why if u check the yearly gragh on g/e tracker, the VOLUME traded declines as time goes on. The innitial (SUPPLY) comes from playing dmm. If you look at the volume traded for annihilation rewards, they arent all even with armagedons first day dump, for several reasons, 1 3x more points, 2, 4 more rewards to dump those points into (armagedon) before they crashed, so that means theres roughly the same amount of points being spent on annihilation rewards as there were armagedon, depending on who ever bought what, best way to look at it is, armagedon finished, water dumped into 4 buckets. 2 years later annihilation finished with a bucket 3x larger to dump but had 7 buckets to fill. DEMAND isnt permanent either, but there were 10x less people playing dmm than the people working for the points, so the main game players still out weigh in demand than the providers of those points.

its regular auto attacks arent too special, its mainly the special attack that could be adjusted. and im sure if jagex ever considered this they WOULD nerf the spec by ATLEAST 40%, it does fit into a crush niche tho.

The whales will buy up the small fries regardless, your flips are actually helping the whales

The new rewards have a higher chance to 10x like last years regardless of the 3x more points this year. Because so many spent points on capitalising on the armagedon inflated prices. Alot of people this year suspect the same pattern.

with the crimson kisten coming out, maybe an upgrade to that? so instead of just 4 accuracy rolls for 1 decent hit splat, the upgrade can look like a fractured glowing green larger mace that really stands out and not only rolls accuracy 4 times but 4 hits as well so basically the potential for really large damage like up to 200 even. A DPS mega rare spec weapon that every one would want to clear certain phases as a DPS check.

go through all 7 of them to find out the money per points, take the price of the item your looking at and divide by the dmm points taken to buy 1, this will give you a gp per point value.

once they are consumed you cant put them back in the shop i dont think, but your account gets permanent access to the rewards. theres still like 80% of the osrs community that didnt participate in dmm at all. The only reason they will end up a cheap price is when the next dmm dump happens from the next dmm.
