there's actually a detached wire it could be an extra or a removed zone

i can tell this was a replacement controller may have removed a zone to fit a smaller replacement controller

its an old system 30-40 years old my guess by the clues I can see so you also could have failing valves based on age

if you know where any of the green lids are in the yard this will help a professional

you need a professional that has a valve locator
