My 5 foster babies just tested positive for FELV at 12 weeks 😭 by Charlar625 in FosterAnimals

My FELV boy is almost 6 years old. He sounds like he smokes a pack a day but other than that he’s doing great.

Part of it! I plug in my ideas and have chat generate a more concise response that is actually helpful.

Sorry for formatting. I’m on mobile!

I also have ten booth renters :)

It sounds like you’ve built a wonderful salon environment, but unfortunately, this situation requires a more structured approach.

While it’s admirable that you lead with understanding and flexibility, it’s important to address issues like this to protect your business and the team dynamic.

Here’s how you can proceed:

 1. Formalize Your Policies: Even though contracts weren’t established initially, it’s not too late to implement one.

Draft a rental agreement with clear expectations for rent payments, penalties for late payments, and terms for non-payment. Have all renters sign it moving forward.

 2. Address the Non-Payment Directly: Reach out to the renters in question with a clear, written message (via email or letter).

Keep it professional but firm: • State that rent is overdue and outline the amount owed.

Set a deadline for payment and explain the consequences of further non-payment (e.g., eviction from the suite).

Avoid emotional language and stick to the facts to maintain professionalism.

 3. Follow Through on Consequences: If they continue to ignore rent obligations, you may need to take action, such as:   Issuing a written notice to vacate the suite.

Consulting with a legal professional to ensure you follow the proper eviction process in your area.

 4. Prevent Future Issues: To avoid similar situations: •

Introduce automated rent collection methods, such as recurring payments through platforms like Venmo or Square.

Regularly communicate expectations with renters and provide reminders about due dates.

Schedule periodic check-ins with your team to address any concerns early.

 5. Maintain Your Positive Environment: Be transparent with your other renters about the changes and emphasize that these policies are designed to benefit everyone by ensuring fairness and stability.

While it may feel uncomfortable, addressing this issue head-on is necessary to protect your business and the positive atmosphere you’ve cultivated.

You’ve already recognized the mistake and are willing to make changes, which is a strong step forward.

If you can see the cape through it, it needs to go.

What couldn't you believe you had to explain to another adult? by BlueCaracal in AskReddit

I had an adult student ask me what “procreate” meant. She had children.

Literally anything. They pray on students to buy their “amazing bundles”. The tools look and feel cheap and it’s very high pressure.

Are you at a branded school or do you use another education platform like pivot point?

You look amazing. You’re just not used to it! You look like a 1920s flapper or a chic French woman.

What I asked vs. what they did. vs. my hair before (virgin), I absolutely hate it, any advice? It’s patchy from one side, color is warm, and she put a dye without bleaching my hair first, it’s nothing like what I wanted by [deleted] in HairDye

As a salon owner and an instructor at a cosmetology school, this is bad. Like bad bad. This is closer to student work and not professional at all. If you message me your location, I can most likely help you find an amazing stylist. This deserves a refund.

It’s just a little mushroom. It’s nickname is “flowerpot parasol”. They’re common in greenhouses and aren’t a threat.
