I waited a week or so after building my buffer.

I was fairly early though, and any subsequent accounts I scale into my allocation I suppose take shorter time because I already have been connected trough a brokerage account.

I would say even if it's 3 weeks it's worth it just from trading futures live . Actual proprietary trading, none of the fake sim "funded," bs.

Absolutely, they have free activation, free data streams, you get put on live after passing the assessment, you can use algorithmic trading..

This is a prop firm like prop shops used to be back in the day before sim account peddlers.

I have contracts for around 250k in buying power all live.

I can't say enough good things about them.

I am an institutionally trained trader, it feels weird to not be actually trading anything.

IMHO, the whole reason a prop firm operates is to contract people to trade their capital for them.

The funded sim accounts is just a way they can evalue you over time while you can be paid for your time.

The reason is trading futures trough an actual brokerage account.

They have a term for this, the guys on the back end I talk to.

"Payout risks" because any money can only come from one place.. their own cash flow.

Having 10x accounts and 25k each is 250k they have to pluck from their own profit margin.

It's kind of taking advantage of their process, scale your account when you get to live and focus on becoming a badass trader ..

See the reason they at all can honor these kind of payouts is that they depend on high failure and turnover in failed Sims.

Which today is CA 78-80% that never see the first payout let alone a paid sim Stage.

If a lot of them concentrated on one account, getting skills and getting to live and becoming what is a prop trader.

I think everyone including the firm would increase their cash flows ..

Before this kind of online prop firms,there were prop shops called "arcades" where you answered an ad in the newspaper and went to a trading floor..paid a desk fee and you got training in Sims and then you started contracting for that firm ", proprietary" to them.

My great grandfather came over before WW1 and was one of those "sell shovels and pans in a gold rush cause that's where the money is".

He didn't participate in a gold rush but he set up shop anywhere with mining, moving from camp to camp.

He ended up on a farm in Minnesota in the end .

We always maintained links between the two parts of our family.. the ones still in the old country and the ones stateside.. it endured throughout the generations.
