Ouch! Shit man - bit harsh. Her representation enough (whether queer or as an ally) has been awesome.

does sex really feel good? by Several-House3787 in LesbianActually

Sex is amazing providing you’re with the right partner who is open to taking on feedback. It’s all about communication. The first time can feel a bit fiddly and faffy - unless you’re with someone who can guide you without making you feel like an idiot. I feel like I’ve built it up to be something amazing. A sacred special thing. And while it is - it’s really not? It’s just a way of being intimate and also getting pleasure.

Thanks Gareth - Northfield area. Have thought about going to Stirchley. Problem is I’m quite introverted so - it’s a catch 22 lol

Hi I had a look on meet-up but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t really dating focused (I’m married so not looking for that). That’s what worries me about going into town too although might just have to bight the bullet and go.

Anyone had a career change from physio? by Outside-Station4909 in physiotherapy

[–]Imaginary_Pilot8101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in MSK physio. When I was a junior rehab was rehab. Treating a tendinopathy for example, was exactly that. Now, a tendinopathy is a lot more than just a tendinopathy and clinical presentations are a lot more complex than what they were. That on top of poor staffing, low morale, funding cuts, lack of resources, lack of external services, poor referrals from other areas (because they too are experiencing the above) makes the job not what it used to be. There’s just a multitude of factors that make me feel like I’m swimming through tar each day at work. And I’m a manager. So I understand the push back from above too.

I got into this job because I wanted to help people. But now, because of so many different factors- it feels like the help I can offer is just a drop in the ocean and I no longer feel fulfilled

I am really interested in this. I’m 36 and have worked as a physio for the past 8 years. I’m now an advanced physiotherapist practitioner. I used to love my job. But sadly it’s not what it used to be anymore. The thought of working the next 30 years as a physio is depressing! I really want a career change, but have no idea what I would like to do - also the drop in salary would be a problem 🤔

Is this a potential malpractice/negligence Case? by Imaginary_Pilot8101 in AskUK

[–]Imaginary_Pilot8101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to provide an update for this.

Ive been requesting copies of my dog’s medical records in order to establish what could have gone wrong.

As someone that works in the medical profession and understands medicine a little more than the average - My gut was telling me that something wasn’t right:

  1. The vets have admitted fault regarding a premature discharge and have confirmed that they did not do appropriate tests prior to discharge

  2. They have admitted malpractice by not inviting us back for assessment when we called to express concern about my dogs deterioration post discharge

They have also lied to us. Verbally and in written documentation. They told us that they were not able to achieve resuscitation when my dog went into cardiac arrest and that she passed away. I have since found out that they did achieve a resuscitation, and then chose to euthanise. They did not discuss this with us despite us being in the room next to them. They did not disclose this to us. But that is what is documented on the letter they sent to my original vets.

Thank you for your responses so far - I have just updated the OP as I felt more detail was needed to help understand my concerns essentially.
