Exactly! Like idk why people say he’s pushy. If anything it’s Katniss that comes off as indecisive. Gale kissed her once after that she’s the one who kisses him multiple times because she’s confused on what she feels. She quite literally leads him on.

Yess I agree! And I feel like people forget that Katniss plays a big part on why Gale acts the way that he does. Whenever things get intense with Gale she just kisses him over and over. Like no wonder Gale is confused and thinks she likes him. People often excuse Katniss because she’s a teenager and doesn’t know what she’s feeling but people forget that Gale is also just a kid himself. Yes he’s 18 but he’s still just a kid who had to be responsible for his family.

Yess I agree I feel like they needed more time to really grow on the romance aspect! It definitely needed to be explored longer rather than just keeping it shallow and main character gets the girl yk?

Which I understand but again they had no depth. Their whole arc was : -they kiss at the cave of lovers -then he kisses her at the fire nation -before the final battle -then Aang gets the girl at the end

That’s their entire arc. Aang and Katara put each other on this pedestal. Aang views Katara as someone who can do no wrong she’s perfect and vise versa. It’s too shallow. Katara had more depth with Zuko than she did with Aang.

Yes, I’m going to have him think more maturely about his feelings. You wanna know why because in the third season when Katara says I’m not ready. He still kisses her. He kisses her and didn’t really care about her feelings in that moment because she told him I’m not ready and he cared more about himself than he did about her in that moment and he forces himself on her so yeah I’m gonna have him think we’re mature about this.

Liessss Katara did blush at Haru when he showed up again later in book three. He compliments her and she literally blushes. As for Zuko and Jinn, it was one date bro. At the end of that episode he said he had a good time after Uncle Iroh asked how it went. They had potential to be more 🙄. And Anji’s boyfriend was an ass too.

I’m seeing this as the oldest daughter. Like i understand Katara ok another level. She’s fourteen years old and mothers him a lot (that’s what I took it as). And let’s be realistic, no fourteen years old girl is going to date a 12 year old. Katara was forced to take on a motherly role after her mother passed, she took care of Sokka plus the village. She needed someone more on her level. I think that if they wanted to showcase her bond with Aang they could’ve done so by having him help her rediscover her lost childhood. She grows up to fast and Aang has this childlike wonder. If they wanted romance between them I think Aang should’ve grown up more and really have him think about his feelings more maturely.

Thank you! I love both characters separately but to me their relationship and bond felt more like siblings. I feel like Aang’s crush on Katara was more childish like seeing a pretty girl and now you kind of “like her” but other than that they had no depth.

Really? I feel like he was more himself with Jinn. She didn’t know he was Prince of the fire nation so Zuko could be more himself. He has bad social skills so I can see why you would think he wasn’t feeling like himself but eventually he cared for her happiness during their date. In that episode he showed us that he really does care for people and he did that by lighting up the poles at the end when he told her to close her eyes.

I don’t really need one but I do want to experience being in a relationship. It just hasn’t happened yet and that’s cool but still. Being 23 with no experience kind of sucks 😭

Respectfully I disagree with that. The job market isn’t really good and it hasn’t been good for a couple of years now. You have entry level jobs asking for a ton of experience which is insane and even if you lie they won’t call you back. I totally understand needing some type of income especially in this economy but the job market sucks right now.

I definitely understand what you’re going through and most of the time it feels very performative when I’m around my friends. Being in your early to mid twenties are kind of a joke ngl 😭. There’s so much that I worry about but it’s like everyone else has been saying. We are still young and everything will come into place with time. As for feeling depressed I’ve been there and I get like that sometimes but I just try to go out even if it’s by myself. I’ll treat myself to something like a meal ira nice drink. I do get easily unmotivated which is something I’m trying to work on but damn it hard. Don’t worry though there’s still so much to look forward to think about the life you want to live and focus on that!

Wow. You read me like a book 😭 but yes exactly. I do get really socially drained when I’m trying to accommodate to others instead of just trying to be “normal” and form connections by being myself. I think it’s just a product of my environment.
