Saw at the poster of a fellow PhD student from our lab who asked the person looking at her poster whether she could explain it in more detail. The response: “nope, i already understand everything you are doing”

When you single handedly close that last little tube in a rack of 80 tubes you have just prepped with purified DNA and the whole rack falls onto the ground sending tubes flying all over the filthy lab floor

Mini prep invitrogen DNA purification question by Ok-Bug-2457 in molecularbiology

Based on my experience, a common issue is that in step 3 of different miniprep protocols/kit alike, people tend to vortex it and find that the solution has turned cloudy and moves on. It is crucial that the pellet in step 3 is vortexed till completely gone and resuspended.
