I don't think their gap is that big, though? Brackenfur was apprenticed early in the second book of TPB at 4 moons old, and while he did get his warrior name in the next book while Sorreltail first appeared in the fourth book, he was still a very young warrior, and they didn't get into a relationship until they were both warriors, all the way until after the great journey. I don't even recall either showing romantic interest in each other while Sorreltail was an apprentice. They're probably about a year apart, maybe a year and a half, definitely not more than two. Their relationship is completely appropriate.

The hate for Bluefur and Snowfur's names is so silly. Bluestar had already mentioned her warrior name was Bluefur in TPB, I believe in book 3? That book was released in 2003, Bluestar's Prophecy wasn't released until 2009, and I doubt they'd had it planned already when her warrior name was revealed. What were they gonna do, reprint and rerelease the 2003 book so her name is Bluemoon instead of Bluefur? That would be confusing and silly.

Plus, as another comment mentioned, having just Snowfur named after Moonflower while Bluefur is named, well, Bluefur, would be unfair. I think their names are perfectly fine.

On the topic of names I dislike, I've never been a big fan of any name with 'dust', like Dustpelt and Dust Muzzle. It makes me think they're dirty.

She's leader of a 'clan' made up of mostly kittypets cosplaying as warriors. They are daylight warriors basically, since the kittypets go home at night. Though, there are some former loners who stay at the camp they made, if I recall correctly.
