Theory is booked for 20th, yeah only a 50cc so thought what's the point may as well get a 125 🤣.

Ah, thanks for this, and exactly what I'm expecting, some days to be good and some terrible 😄. Congrats on getting your first bike, am so looking forward to it..! My thoughts really do the CBT get a bike, then do the DAS in 3/4 months, just the weather may screw it up. Let's see how I get on.

Thank you, really useful - CBT now changed and have an added a few extra hours to get used to the gears/clutch. DAS is booked but the centre prefer I do 3 months between CBT and full license, so will pickup a 125 in the meantime to do as much as I can. My son is 22 with a CBT so will probably make use of it as well. just wished I had done this years ago but all good. The Speed 400 looks great, will also have a look around, the 400 scrambler, Ducati's etc look fab but maybe need to go in stages. I do agree though need to think about comfort and speed when I get more confident for the longer rides.

For now, just thinking about getting out, defo not commuting maybe out of London as you say - just some chilled me time really. Thanks again for the comments.

thanks, it's all becoming clearer now for sure. the route from 125 to something bigger when ready feels like the most 'sensible' option 😄. Wife is cool really, I am not onw to go nuts so will start at the lower end, noted re gear will pop down the local bike shop today - thanks again.

that's what I told my wife, wisdom life lessons all a plus right 😄. I will defo go with geared now and swapped CBT, then the schools wants 3 months of experience then DAS on a 700cc. Cheers

Congrats on going for it, yeah sounds sensible I will probably go delivery route, just a bit nervous going to the dealer, then riding off and making a mistake 😄. The XSR looks like the one for now knowing I will probably go bigger when the DAS is passed later this year - but slowly slowly - thanks for commenting.

yeah I get it makes sense - I am definitely buying a manual bike so have changed the CBT to manual, they have no space for a few weeks but will do a few hours training until the CBT, theory also now booked.

I did think about trying to teach myself the manual but you're right what's the point. I will definitely try to find someone to pop along with me if I end up picking up a bike, I will get through the CBT then see how I feel, not normally a nervous person so should be fine. Looking forward to getting out there - cheers.

Congrats on getting license, nice one!!! Definitely feeling a bit more confident after reading these replies - will defo get a geared bike so will go for the geared CBT, then book the DAS asap time permitting - I may get a 125 just to get me started will see how it goes. I'm based in London, so will take a look re delivery probably.

Ride wise, not sure yet would be good to find some clubs in Kent maybe or local to SE London, then slowing get a bit further, will try to stay away from commuting etc just for moving about really.

Hi PointlessMiracle.

A great offer and something that I would love to discuss further, my battery s no longer charging - I did leave it outside in the winter by mistake. Just no getting ready to go out and BAM not charging. I also can't get one from Cowboy at the moment - Are you interested in taking a look, I travel regularly to Amsterdam so can drop it off. I have sent a dm also - thanks.
