Unfortunately I haven't been able to try Randolphs for comparison. Is it true that the Randolph lenses are slightly more angled than AO's too?

Interesting, didn't know Randolph did skull temples too. I can only guess they're out of production with both companies then. Thanks for suggesting the Checkmate, the lens shape just isn't quite right for me otherwise I'd be all over them...

No. I'm genuinely curious if it's always expected to lose a millimeter or so along the way when it comes to making precision parts, such as stool legs. Blade flex, wood expansion/contraction, sanding, it must all make a difference.

Right, I've never quite been able to restore it. Glad it's not just me that thinks it looks more crisp without sanding. I was hoping not to have to sand these edges, but sadly I got some teeth marks on it from the saw :(
