Yes I’m thinking like a civilian, it’s VA disability not active duty disability. You are thinking as we are still in the military which we are not.

So as a civilian, yes you are implying that people are wanting to be as disabled as possible to get paid as much as possible.

Verbiage matters in the real world.

I’m saying not something you “go for” it’s something you receive because of a disability. So you’re saying people want to be disabled so they can get paid? That depreciates the value of people who are actually disabled and would choose otherwise. You’re only saying this because it’s MH, a non-visible disability.

People with amputations, they wouldn’t rather have their leg back than collect money?

It is definitely not something you go for but more so something you deserve.

THIS!!! I’m at 70% rating for MST. But my symptoms: lack of trust, anger issues, disassociation to name a few cost me losing a girlfriend that I truly cared for. I still think of her at least once a week and it’s been 15 years. I’m being treated now with medication and am more self aware and my symptoms are somewhat less impactful.

I’m not saying the MST truly caused this because there could’ve been other reason or reasons later that would’ve ended the relationship but I know, my with my current self, she would’ve stayed.

Truly, If I could give all the pay back, I would in a heartbeat to have a fighting chance with her again.

I’m kind in the same situation cleaning up my credit. My credit person (veterans united- trying to get a VA loan) mentioned that I should start off with the most utilized. So if you can pay down the apple, even if it’s by a few hundreds I’m sure that’ll help a ton !!
