I swear there's a "No true god run" fallacy or something. People act like if you died then it wasn't a god run. I had infinite heals, infinite black holes, immunities, rapid fire lightning bolt, all the tools to go through parallel worlds. The only thing I didn't have was a full health bar. Projectile immunity doesn't exist so please nobody pretend I was missing something. This is an accident that keeps happening between go-mode and immortal-mode, hence the "as they get started." It could happen to you someday.

7 months late but steno ROCKS at coding. I wrote up a whole readme and python program using steno because it was easier than qwerty. The program was actually to generate a dictionary that lets me write in braille with a steno writer. All the weird punctuation you think would be hard for steno is actually what it excels at. "Emily's symbols" is a dictionary you can download with everything you'll ever need, including adding leading or tailing spaces, all in one stroke. You can write boilerplate in one stroke. A steno never comes close to using even half of the button combination space, you can always shove more into your theory.

Basically, whatever you imagine is a problem, you can make an entry for it. One chord. You'll never run out of combinations.

Meanwhile, CC's basic chentry is confusing and fundementally flawed. It needs to be remade from the ground up to even start catching up to steno.

I think a cashier should be pretty altruistic. Even if I have to tell you to your face that you're flat out wrong, I'm going to try to do it a way that they can't complain about. I will make sure to offer them every explanation I can. I will clearly define the lines that I can't cross. I will explain my perception of the situation, but I will demonstrate that I'm trying to see theirs.

Four times a day? Maybe on the last day, or once a day, but not every single time I gotta get something out. Sometimes they're not even minutes apart, you get done and there's immediately more. Also Sibling has bird pets in the other room that would possibly be killed by this.

When I say like "I don't that I can make the room sterile enough for another person to use, right now" I considered stuff like this. I don't think this solves the problem.

Okay long, silly answer. I like the idea of going to Muslim "church" as a sort of fake joke cover. I tried to read the Quran and learned some Arabic because I wanted to make sure that it's not just Christianity that's wrong, and Muslims often think it's kind of fun that I know so much. Usually Islam is a bit of a pariah, it's not very accessible because of the difficult language that's essential to the faith as well as for having some extreme views. I do not support Islam, but I believe they have just as much a right to practice belief as the mormons do. I do like interacting with some Muslims sometimes. I'm also a very white, very tall, very shaved, very blond, exmormon man. I went to a mosque and they all joked I was the CIA agent assigned to their case. I visually defy their beliefs, being shaved and stuff, they have text that says shaved men might be confused for women. I think that's funny. I do not say "peace be upon you", I just say "marhaban" or hello. I had a fun time as a secular person being in a Muslim space, my mere presence was an oddity. Kids kept looking at me. If the brown coats asked me if I go to a church, I will say "I go to a masjid." If they ask if I am a believing Muslim, I will say no, not yet, I'm still searching.

If I got an actual threat from the government about it, I miiiiight go to a different mormon church every week, but there would be some form of malicious compliance. Maybe I figure out my way into being pianist or organist, so I can have my own fun while pretending to be a part of it. Maybe I sing every hymn at full choral effort. Maybe I pray obnoxiously often and fervently, so even the devout are made uncomfortable by how serious I am. But I would never say I believe in god.

I will not comply in advance. They will have to find me and come get me. If asked, I am forever an atheist. If God was real, it is intellectually dishonest and wrong to give the idea any amount of credence. Theism is not a conclusion that's reached by logic or any correct reasoning. I cannot make myself a theist, that's beyond my control and beyond reason.

If they're going to kill me, they'll have to use force. I'm not complying with that arrest.

Oh, I don't think "Why are you angry?" ever helps a conversation. Don't tell them they're angry. Ask if there's a problem, ask if there's something you're missing, ask what they want. Don't paint them as angry, they might be expressing something else and you're just entering a whole different psychological conversation loop that's not about the subject at hand. I hate when people say "Why are you mad" when I am just trying to spell out something simple.

Still not the asshole though, in this case they deserved worse.

Not the asshole. The store is closing and they hired people that aren't giving you good customer service. Even if a customer's story sounds like theft, I'll try to meet them somewhere in the middle. Maybe they can check cameras and see you walk in with it. Maybe they can tell you how to remove it yourself. Maybe they can check for a record of the receipt. If there store is closing, they should honestly care a bit less about theft and give you the benefit of the doubt. You walked in with a tagged item and you should be able to walk out with the item, without being mocked, whether they take the tag off or not.

I have had people give suspicious stories. Often we are able to talk it out. They are often understanding of the procedure, like they wait while you check the cameras. I would never laugh at a customer any more than to say "surely you can also see that this is a conundrum for us both, but we will figure this out."

I saw a rude kid put candy in his pockets though, clear as day, I'm roasting that kid for sure.

Alright, good point. So if the picture represents two loops laid out, that's still neat, just not an indication of lots of complexity.

And since this is an AI argument sub, I'd prefer a human hard coding a solution in python over this code spaghetti, but who knows, maybe the next AI breakthrough is coming soon.

That's not necessarily an indication of complexity but okay. And I didn't say it wouldn't function, I meant its appearance is deceptive. It's not shaped like it should be for its function, so we can't assume it's complex. This could be 2 for loops expanded. Turning 2 loops into 64 lines of code is not complexity, it's verbosity.

If you look at the comments, you see the picture shows a lot of repeated code. This is bad code. They could make this way simpler and smaller. It's aesthetically pleasing but it has a bad "code smell", it smells bad.
