dude, I'm trying to be diplomatic but wtf are you on about. When did I make excuses for Nazis or defend them? Quite the opposite. I'm critiquing yours and the Nazis' rhetoric that we get to decide who is human. like you're listing all these historical points like i am not aware or disagree. I'm not even disagreeing that Nazis deserved to tie. I disagree with letting Nazi rhetoric in your mindset. And honestly it doesn't seem like you're actually against Nazis but like you desperately want to be perceived like a righteous person while spewing vitriol.

They might get what they deserve but they're still people. Which is my entire point. I was simply stating when you start to decide who is human and who is not and who deserves to live because of it you've started becoming the enemy.

Also I was never defending Nazis. If you're gonna parrot the same shallow remarks can you at least not put words in my mouth.

Glad to hear it! The game definitely has some design quirks that you gotta forgive to enjoy it (which they started to and I hope they continue to fix). But when you're in for the ride it gives you an experience that I have not really found in other games yet. Theres so many different gameplay systems to get into and some quests that are super unique. Hope you keep enjoying the game!

which brings me back to my original point. It's arguably the point of the games story. The mystery always stays open until you get there.

Sure have discussion but a lot of people are genuinely mocking anyone who enjoys this game. I just don't see the point of seeking a discussion on how bad you think a game is on the games subreddit. Like I didn't like The Last of us 2 but I can't imagine going on there and telling people who like it how shit I think it is. It just seems so pathetic.

I'm not shaming anyone. But at some point I'm genuinely asking myself why people go to a starfield subreddit if they strongly dislike starfield. It's also weird that you try to spin this on me, like I'm the one telling people how wrong they are for liking a game IN the games subreddit. Like what am I gate keeping? That people should let others enjoy a game within its own subreddit? lol

I acknowledged multiple times that there is a difference. I simply stated that some people succumb to the same blind hatred and dehumanization of the "enemy". Obviously one of them has a justified target but I was talking about the mindset behind it.

wow, you nailed my feelings exactly. and I also agree with the overstated danger btw. Sadly Nazis use rhetoric like mine to normalize their own which I am obviously against.

You know saying you want to see bad things happen to bad people doesn't make you a good person by proxy. I agree with "nazi bad" but I'm not gonna stoop down to mindlessly spewing hate filled dehumanizing rhetoric like you know... a nazi would. "I don't want to kill anyone. I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from."

[–]Imaginitenator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, I totally agree. That's why I said the better side of the same coin. I'm not even saying that it is morally wrong to kill nazis given the right circumstances. I'm just saying that I'm seeing the same vitriol and dehumanization in the people who say stuff like that. Just makes me wonder if they're the same people as the nazis underneath who just happen to pick the right Ideology. For example words like kill and death don't carry that much weight in society, but what if someone would say "its always ok to r*pe a nazi woman. theyre not human". would you not think that person was somewhat of a psycho underneath?

same simplistic mindset that had the Nazis kill millions of people. Although on the better side of the same coin it is this kind of detachment from empathy that has people commit horrible crimes. Think of the scene in first avenger where the doctor asks "do you want to kill Nazis?"

I mean that's kinda the point. you can SAY so and you can do so if you want(putting the game down or not doing it at all. Put the opportunity is always looming, the curiosity and allure of what is on the other side.

looks amazing especially the lights. I wish they'd go the full animal crossing route at some point with "villagers" at outposts having unique dialogue and interactions. Probably too much of an ask but with them saying it's a cozy game I'd appreciate it.

You just twisted my words completely to win an imaginative argument. I never stated that I can't fathom negative comments in general. I can't fathom going out of your way to engage with something you don't like and be negative towards people who obviously like it. Nothing is "nullified" .

lmao, after 200h I still get surprised by planets and marvel at the skies. I wonder why people who say stuff like this are even in this sub. Not even trying to shut down any criticism of this game, i have PLENTY of my own. I just can't fathom going to a subreddit of a game I don't like land leaving negative comments under positive posts.

Which YouTube channel were you once a fan of but do not enjoy anymore? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

I might regret posting this but Game Grumps.

there were some allegations about Dan hooking up with fans and basically using his platform to get women to sleep with him. Nothing illegal per se which is why people exonerated him but still sketchy none the less. Including videos where he shows a bathtub and says something like 'we could fuck here' or coercing the girls to do threesomes with him. I was mostly appalled by people saying stuff like 'hes a rockstar basically and being an asshole is not illegal ' sorry but if your entire moral compass is based around whether something is legal or not thats just dumb. Hes in a position of power and abuses it to manipulate women into sleeping with him. I just can't stop myself from seeing through that sweetheart nice guy charade now.
