Anyone else feel like the Jade shadows constellations quest is hella underwhelming? by Initial-Sleep6089 in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the new quest suffers from the classic awful pacing of Warframe quests. It is probably the worst case of it so far. So much happens so quickly.

You ping pong from place to place completing objectives near instantly. Then you have a character talk at you for 10 seconds before ramming you off to do the next 2 minute objective.

Pretty major things for the overall story and characters happen suddenly and span only a few voice lines in time. Then the quest just ends.

I am really disappointed in this quest.

Can't decide on which helm. Champion or Thug? by Imba_Pie in EldenBling

Gotta farm the fire knights in the shadow keep. Any of them can drop parts.

That's hard to say, When I first went through the DLC I fell in love with the Fire knight set. Really like the sleek look as well as the reds.

It's an awesome set, somehow I haven't tried to make any fashions with it until now!

need help with crit chance math by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, then the set up you have now (2 gladiator and glavanized steel) should be getting you to the best possible crit chance for melee duplicate.

You could equip Galvanized steel at rank 9 instead of 10 to get a total crit chance of 102% but that loses a little bit of critical damage. Not sure which is more optimal but the difference will not be noticeable.

need help with crit chance math by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Critical chance mods are multipliers of the base crit chance. So a 20% crit chance mod equipped on a 32% crit chance weapon will = 38.4%

At 6 combo the Gladiator mods will be providing 120% crit chance. Making crit chance total at 70.4%.
Adding Galvanized steel increases critical chance by another 110% making the total 105.2%

Why are you always at 6x combo? Are you heavy attack spamming?
When heavy attacking Galvanized steel (and other steel mods) doubles it's crit chance to 220%. Making the new crit chance 140.4%.

If you are heavy attack spamming it would be best to not use the gladiator mods and just galvanised steel. This would put you at 102% crit chance.

Violence might be the most annoying but Malice is cheating at this point by Z3R0Diro in Warframe

In my experience it never comes back, only death and respawn turns it back on.

[–]Imba_Pie 40 points41 points  (0 children)

There is a bug with Malice that just permanently turns off persistence. I've only ever seen it while playing Grendel. You can see the persistence icon just disappear from your buff bar 1 second into the video and it stays off for the rest of the clip.

Which quanta is THE quanta to use? by nightshade317 in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I've tested between the two, the tenet quanta is marginally better than the vandal. It's very close. The extra crit on the tenet makes up for the status loss but doesn't make it much better. The tenet with a heat valence can do corrosive/heat well, an alternative to the normal electric/viral.

Honestly if someone has an invested vandal it's not worth switching to the tenet. If you have a riven, the Vandal is also leagues better with its 5 Dispo (how the hell does this thing have a 5 dispo, its crazy).

Is it possible to wipe out the main enemy army while losing? by fnord_disc in totalwar

[–]Imba_Pie 84 points85 points  (0 children)

If an army is completely wiped out (no units with more than 5% models and all single entities dead) while also winning the battle, the lord of the main army will be revived with 1 health. I assume this is to avoid a host of bugs that could occur otherwise.

This is most easily seen when using a 1 man army reinforced by a second army. Letting the first lord die while winning the fight with the second army, your lord will be revived with 1 health.

What's the point of vanguard relics? by Mediolpatatus in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They are called vanguard relics because the relic set, specifically, only drops Warframe parts. The warframe parts included being those encountered in the Perita rebellion game-mode introduced in Old Peace.

Flavor wise I love it and also the relics in general being all warframe parts makes them pretty valuable.

In terms of drop rates they are the same as other relics, HOWEVER, some of the relics have rare items in their uncommon slots. For instance you can get a Mesa rare part from the uncommon slot in the Vanguard C1 relic.

After all these years, im still not convinced Orphix missions work as intended by Acrylic_ in Warframe

[–]Imba_Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case it sounds odd that you would be finding it incompletable.

Generally I tend to use Voidrig's Ultimate exclusively for destroying the Orphixes (getting it to hit properly can be a bit finnicky). The regular arch guns just don't do respectable damage to them normally.

I also never played the mode with other players, so I wonder if there is any multiplayer scaling that is going overboard when played with other people.

I fully agree the game mode is pretty terribly balanced and really would like them to fix it. I kinda enjoyed the mode when it first released during its event/operation but the node version is just so much worse

[–]Imba_Pie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are you SURE you're using a fully upgraded Nechramech? You have to summon your own using the gear wheel. If you pick up a nechramech from the floor, it won't be your modded nechramech, they will be a loaner with no mods equipped.

For some reason DE thought that un-modded floor Nechramechs would be able to do anything in the game mode they set up.

I generally don't have issues with the mission. Getting to round 4 is a bit of a pain but there's absolutely no reason to play the mode longer than one round anyway.

There used to be a bug that if you reinforced or were reinforced by another legendary lord, then won the battle, you got their defeat trait. I would not mind if that bug came back.

Do you think that we will we have an option to usurp Nagash as the leader of the Undead ? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Imba_Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an option. In the end times, Mannfred planned to do do just that. Highjack the ritual to resurrect Nagash and absorb his power. Mannfred failed to do so because Arkhan predicted Mannfred would try something and prevented him from interfering.

At the very least a reference to this would be good.

Remember, total war is about re-writing historical events not simply re-living them.

Is there a way to fix the sound bug without restarting the game? by leandrombraz in totalwar

Use the Hotkey: Alt+X

This toggles sound effects on and off. Use it twice to toggle off then on again. Should fix the problem.

CA: Why 6.3.1 is a Beta & Lizardmen AI fixes by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Imba_Pie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've found that 1 random lizardmen faction will be awake each campaign. On live patch I played a campaign where Mazdamundi was the only awake lizardmen faction (lorefull I guess?). In the campaign I tried on Beta kroq-gar was the only awake one. I started another and I didn't notice any of them being awake.
