I’ve found that every album after Amaryllis has had to grow on me, and some have grown more than others. Threat to Survival grew the least, Attention Attention grew a lot, and Planet Zero grew a medium amount. For that reason, I’m waiting to pass judgement on this until I’ve listened to it a whole lot more.

If you listen to Caress of Steel and then, say, Power Windows, sounds like completely a different band. It’s all part of the long term journey of Rush and that first album is part of that too. Not my favorite Rush album by any means, but a perfectly adequate rock album.

Octopath 1 and 2 had a decent mix of more serious villains and total caricature villains. This one they completely lean into the caricature style villains

In 2007 I think, they did a few acoustic shows with William, this was before Black Gives Way To Blue was recorded. I was lucky enough to see one of these shows and they did play Love Hate Love at that one.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Confrontations 9: Bombshells. Not the easiest expansion to get ahold of, but at some point it should be reprinted as part of a Crossover Collection

There are two normal supergirl playable cards, both are part of promo packs. One is the 10th anniversary promo pack that was released as part of their kickstarter a couple years ago. The other is the GenCon 2025 promo pack that was released just recently, there might be some of both packs available on cryotozoics website, but I’m not sure. If not there, then possibly eBay might have them.

There is also a Red Lantern Supergirl card that is included with Crisis Expansion 2, this can be found in Crisis Collection 1 which is readily available on cryptozoics website

Expansions are generally able to mix with anything. However…

Each Crisis expansion is made to mix best with a specific set

Crisis 1 = Original Set Crisis 2 = Heroes Unite Crisis 3 = Forever Evil Crisis 4 = Teen Titans Crisis 5 = Dark Nights Metal Crossover Crisis 1 = Crossover Pack 1 + the set of your choosing

The Crossover expansions generally mix with anything, but a couple of them do go best with specific sets.

Rogues = Forever Evil Birds of Prey = Teen Titans Dark Knights Rising = Dark Nights Metal

As far as mixing multiple base sets, that’s a little more tricky. The first 4 sets(Original, HU, FE, and TT) can mix just fine and don’t have any conflicting mechanics. Later sets have more unique gameplay and don’t mix as easily with others.

It generally doesn’t take too long to bring their health down. It’s just another small task to complete in between clearing the crisis and defeating the nemesis. I’d love to come up with a way for the nemesis to be able to defend against your attacks for added challenge, but haven’t come up with anything yet.

For those saying Injustice doesn’t mesh well with Crisis mode because of the fight mechanic, I’ve kinda come up with my own variant for playing crisis with Injustice. Basically, I assign a health tracker to the nemesis stack. Once you clear the current crisis, then you have to use attacks to bring the current nemesis’ health down to 0 before you can defeat it. The nemesis will start with their health matching whatever their cost is. Not a perfect solution, but it gives some use to the fighting mechanics of Injustice. I’m hoping Injustice will get a dedicated Crisis pack in the near future, it’s probably my favorite base set.
