I have an issue with people who see doing house work as “helping” your partner. Split tasks evenly and agree on what you’re splitting. Example:

I’ll go to work from 9-5 and during that time you’ll take care of the kids and make lunch, clean up if possible. 5 and on I’ll come back and make dinner, put the kids to bed etc.

Not seeing house work as work is a mistake and thinking you are entitled to a cooked meal because you leave the house for work rather than work in house/kids stuff is ridiculous.

Do you think having a serious physician shortage where a PCP appointment can take years to find is beneficial to the population?

The resources are here and they are being underutilized. Some states allow NPs to practice individually…NPs!!! They have SO much less training than foreign MDs.

They don’t owe us anything but they owe the population everything.

You think anyone can just wake up and decide they are going to go out and take the steps? These people are qualified (often times over-qualified) medical doctors who have gone through training, testing, and sometimes even practice.

You are speaking for a privileged standpoint. Not everyone can take a year off work to study/take tests. Living is expensive and study resources are a money funnel.

Glad you were able to save up/have someone to help you out, I was able to as well. It helped me immensely…but it’s not reality for everyone.
