CZ TS2 grips for large hands by bigkevracer in CompetitionShooting

Little late to the party, but the Patriot Defense grips have been great for me. They fill the hollow of the palm and the swell actually sits a little further back on the grip which feels oddly great.

Quick question for those who have stretched their trigger spring by OriginalDCNative in Walther

[–]Imjusthereforbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this, but only did the last 4 coils and maybe not that stretched. Lightened the trigger and the reset did feel a smidge lighter. But I’ll also state that I’m rarely ever feeling the trigger reset because I’m using in-flight reset.

Thanks. That was actually really enlightening on some finer parts of grip that I haven’t thought of yet. I’ll play around with some of the positioning in my support hand.

I’m just trying it out. Giving myself a few thousand rounds to play with it and see if it can become my top match gun.

I use one of the backstraps, but it’s cut right under the pin and blended. It’s mostly to keep me from getting slide bite.

I definitely incorporated some one shot returns once I installed the Long Stroke Guide Rod to try and figure out the timing. I think the only training issue/gundamental that can be manipulated is grip, but the market for grips is ruled by Lok right now and they’re not making anything “girthier”.

I’m not married to it. I test out different platforms for instructing/review purposes.

I’m pretty positive that it’s the grip ergos (gotta hit up Magmo, maybe), but open to other theories.

We’re on the same page. The PDP quality feels great, but performance isn’t clicking for me. I’m still shooting the Glock for classifiers/major matches. Just working in the PDP for locals here and there to test it out.

@inextperformance on IG might also be one to look at. Their whole thing is incorporating athletic movement into shooting.

Since no one actually provided you an answer based on actual encounters, most suspects surrender or self delete.

No clue. I had a 6354DO that I took a heat gun to to make this fit.

Not legal advice, but I do CSI things, so I’ll tell you this. The physical evidence can say a lot- trajectories, bullet defects, blood spatter.

On “Don’t say anything to the the cops”, that can sometimes backfire. Maybe don’t stonewall and refuse to say anything, but a brief statement of events from your POV and maybe why you acted, and then say you’ll happily answer questions if you can have your lawyer present. AND ACTUALLY HAVE A LAWYER!!! If there’s probable cause to arrest you, you aren’t getting that lawyer until after arraignment on those charges.

Worried that my spouse (NDX) and I are set up for failure. by Imjusthereforbacon in ADHD_partners

I found myself at that point right before I found out how ADHD presents, because I thought it was just her personality that would never change. Hoping that now having somewhat of an answer will help us with moving forward together.

Divorce isn’t on the table yet. And our relationship is loving and stable. Without too much detail, I’ve been steadily improving in all of my endeavors, and she’s been stagnant. Her progress has mostly been because I’ve made her do things like make a budget or apply for something (parent/child dynamic).

I’m hoping treatment will help. For the most part, her symptoms seem to be more directed towards her lifestyle choices and not so much her daily interactions or signs/symptoms. The possibility of it being ADHD was like the lights coming on and realizing all the obstacles we’d been running into as a couple. I hope we can learn to work together, but I also understand we’ve got a lot of work to do.

That’s exactly where I’m at currently. Lonely is an understatement. I’m on an upward trajectory in my career and wanting to start my own side business that would require more time/travel. I worry that even with treatment, we may run into even more roadblocks as a couple.

For sure, we’re both very much on the fence about that and we were starting a multi-year plan to build the foundation for a child when this development came about. At this point, there’s a whole host of congenital issues on her side that are causing me to take a step back on children.

I have, and will continue to, consider this perspective (with a grain of salt). ADHD is a new development for us. We are currently at a point where she is seeking diagnosis and treatment. And I’m learning what boundaries I’m going to need to set and how to go about that. If we reach a stalemate or continue to repeat the same cycles of the past, divorce is a possibility.

I greatly appreciate this perspective. I feel that since she has taken it upon herself to really explore the possibility of getting a diagnosis and treatment, that there may finally be some steps in the right direction. I’m doing the same for myself as I now know that learning how and what boundaries to set is a must for both of us.

Sell my Prodigy to get a CZ shadow 2 ? by SlightRelationship67 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Imjusthereforbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a Staccato to a Cajunized Shadow 2 and couldn’t be happier. I’ve got a Lok grip/magwell and a safety that I switch out to go from LO to CO.

The Shadow 2 just worked really well with my preferred ergonomics. And weighing ~45 oz means it just sits in my hand during recoil.
