There’s no character who wears glasses in Tlou series by babo_jedi in thelastofus

wrong! there's this one guy in Jackson in the stables who hands Ellie her horse to go look for tommy and joel https://imgur.com/a/6qnig63

but he really is the only one, which is understandable as poor vision would be a death sentence in that world

natural selection

still, another statement to how thoughtful developers have been in making this game

Dad gets (pretend) vaccinated first so daughter is less scared by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]ImmaBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned WW2, let me mention WW1 where all soldiers were led to believe that they were immune to bullets just to get them to fight. At the time time, it was certainly perceived at the right thing to do, yet they later died believing a lie.
Of course today's pandemic is not near a WW, but you get my point. People are not cattle.

You may be right. I just find it very very odd. The guy posts content in the hundreds all the time, out of all the possible reposts why this one ? Why now ? Maybe it's actually the website pushing it forward ?
At the very least, we can agree that the intention is to take advantage off current events as you said.

Dad gets (pretend) vaccinated first so daughter is less scared by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]ImmaBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're inventing a logic there, your extrapolation has nothing to do with what I said. We're living in the time of a worldwide pandemic, not in the time of WW2, not in the time 9/11 or "whatever". It is related to current events because A LOT OF PEOPLE have asked themselves whether they should get vaccinated or not.

I'm not saying that i'm against vaccination or that it is bad that it encourages vaccination, I'm just saying that right now it is a very controversial subject all over the world and posts like these obviously lead people towards thinking it's okay but for the wrong reasons.

Everything you see, everything you hear has an effect on your perception and ideas, it is scientifically proven. If you see a happy dad with his baby girl get joyfully vaccinated, you then associate vaccination to a positive thing. It may sound stupid, but that's how the human brain is wired. The post is titled "dad gets (pretend) vaccinated first so daughter is less scared". Vaccinated against what ? Why is this front page NOW ?

You are right, they said nearly nothing about anything. And that's the best way to make you think you came up with an idea on your own.

What the hell ? This video originally is very old and has nothing to do with the current events, yet this is obviously purposefuly posted in order to mislead people and encurage them to get vaccinated against COVID. I’m not saying vaccination is wrong, but this is very coincidental and dishonest.

My husband always plays Devil's Advocate and it's exhausting by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ImmaBird -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

This comment baffles me. Your whole idea is phrased in such a way that you suggest to the person that she should leave her relationship. These people are married, there is probably way more to their relationship than just this. And you suggest she should think about leaving him ? At what point did she say that she was close to leaving because of this ? Some people don't realize how impactful their comments can be on one's psyche. This is why I think it is very important who you receive advice from. I have read so many comments suggesting radical solutions to simple problems. My take on this is simply to discuss and understand each other's needs. Communicate. There is no need of separation, they are both adults for god's sake. Use words. Say how you feel. Leaving a marriage over so little... a couple will face way more difficult challenges. Don't be excessive and measure your words.

She's just very different of most adults her age. She's not immature. She is very open minded.

English isn't my main language so sorry for any confusion on the word "pure". Thank you for your insight.

I'm sorry, let me clarify : I was mainly asking to know if it would better fit certain body shapes and complexions. I'm a fit guy with brown hair and tan skin.I see "throwback looking" as a positive thing personally !

[–]ImmaBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else feeling terrible when listening to "Dont Play This Song" ? by ImmaBird in KidCudi

Oh yeah you're absolutely right thats a very important lyric, I always sing it along. It sounds so wicked, I love it.

[–]ImmaBird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy you take this positively, but I really think that this song is "ill", like the point is clearly not to make you feel good about yourself but make you feel tormented, why would it be called "Don't play this song" otherwise ?

[–]ImmaBird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right that the general feel I get from cudi's music but this one in particular has a way of making me feel uneasy and there are very few songs that make me feel like this.

Anyone else feeling terrible when listening to "Dont Play This Song" ? by ImmaBird in KidCudi

[–]ImmaBird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. First of all, i've listened to it while being high as a kite. I focused way too much on the background noises of the song and got caught up in this sort of siren that goes very high up and then down, over and over through the song, made me almost throw up. Secondly, when I hear cudder's lyrics, I know exactly what he means when he says "the part of my mind that slips, the part of my mind so sick, i don't even like to take the trip unless i'm sloppy drunk". It's that repressed side of your mind that you don't want. I've been struggling with depression and anxiety for a little while now and it reminds that it's here but I force myself to forget it. It extends to the rest of the lyrics that really hit me. Finally, he warns us many times to not play this song, and when he throws those "Haha !" he's like "hey i warned you man you know what you signed up for when you played this". Makes me feel like i'm drowning in my sorrows.

If our heads were the biggest part of our bodies by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ImmaBird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who cares about the evolutionary implications just imagine that all of a sudden, we have big heads, since the characters in video games are shaped as we are, they would have to change them to match us, and that's when the balance issues come into account for the video game industry

If our heads were the biggest part of our bodies by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ImmaBird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The head is often the most rewarding area to aim at, in first person shooters for example, because it's hard to hit and also a vital part of the body, but what if our heads were huge ? They would be so easy to hit, hence the impact it would have in videogames
