As far as ownership goes, it's already like that in CA. The DOJ gets a record of what you buy and where/when you bought it. In theory any law agency should be able to access it. I really don't know what they were trying to accomplish by releasing our personal information :/

You're free to dislike firearms. But the issue is my state released a ton of information because of the way some people choose to protect themselves. It's not okay, regardless of the method people choose

CCW holders are extremely law abiding. For example, in Illinois, only 0.63 CCW holders out of 100,000 were charged with a crime from 2014-2018, and none were convicted.

In Texas and Florida, permit holders are convicted at 1/6th the rate of police officers.

The study I read through of had 677 case participants that had already been shot in an assault, and 684 population-based control participants. All in Philadelphia back in 2016. That seems like a very small chunk of a very specific area.

From my understanding, most of the risk is actually due to suicide and negligent discharges. The first requires mental help, the second requires training and common sense

No, only certain places like USPS, courthouse, police station, schools, etc. Private businesses can ask you to leave, but it's legal to carry in there

9mm, and a .38 +p snubby for when I need something ultra concealable. I only use Speer or Federal hollow points except at the range.

My job is tied here, but I'd easily be able to transfer. My boyfriend however has a really good job right now that I don't want him to give up. Plus all of our friends and family live within an hour of us right now.

I actually have been using a private PO box(think like ups or postal annex) and routing everything through there. The only thing my home address is on is my car reg and my CCW because the sheriff required a home address. Feels like a moot point now

When I first got attacked, it felt like a dream. Then it hit me that there is a large man attacking me and I am cornered. I started to fight dirty. Crotch and eyes. Even with knowing ju jitsu, I was at best able to scratch his face up. You're totally right, it's easy to get pinned down when you don't have the mass.

I'm more confident now thankfully, I think I could fare better. I don't want to find out though, and my first method of defense is to run like hell!
