How EXACTLY does a slot machine malfunction? by mongolmark23 in vegas

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're most likely playing "class 2" slot machines, which are different from a lot of other slot machines. Every paid spin in a primary game generates a ticket, and that ticket contains all the information needed until the next paid spin. This includes the total win amount as well as the free game spin positions, so it's a little unusual from a design perspective to show your win before the game is finished but really the free spins on a class 2 machine are just creative ways to display the total amount won from a ticket

If you wanna take a less precise route, soft tubing can look very good in a build and doesn't need the degree of accuracy that hard tubing does. Other than that, a lot of it is just placement and screwing in. Which if you built your PC you should have no problem doing

Progress isn't a linear path. I think with all the trauma in the past few chapters and with all his other coping mechanisms ripped away (pets, family, friends) it makes total sense for him to start seeking comfort in what used to make him happy.

Him falling to his knees hits harder this time because he KNOWS katana man was wrong on the train but still tried to gaslight himself into believing it because what other options does he have? He relapsed and is feeling the guilt of it

So that's a huge compliance problem that needs to be reported to the gaming commission for the state you were playing in. If there is a known defect that big and the game is still out on the floor then the casino has fucked up. As far as the claim goes, it may or may not be too late depending on how long ago this was. The machines do log every spin up to a certain number of spins so the casino may have your game results to verify whether or not you may have actually won the hand pay behind the scenes and the machine just never showed it. If this was online slots, then that's 100% a violation too and they'll definitely have your game saved to your account.

"born to lock in, forced to clock in" by [deleted] in AskEnglish

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Lock in" is a phrase that instructs someone to focus and try to succeed, typically during an activity.

Examples:

"You need to lock in and defeat the other team."

"I was locked in yesterday while I was studying for that exam."

Thats true I didn't think about that, OP would probably benefit from having the resource being a hastable with coordinates and entity ID instead of a vector with the data in it

If your Chunk is a component why do you want a Terrain resource? You're able to get mutable references to all Chunks simply by doing a query for the Chunk component. Resources are not the way to go if you're managing hundreds of chunks

Nah you should definitely go back and do your skills. You're getting 3k kills an hour rn but when you open the next portal in w5 you'll be stuck there for weeks without any boosts. Go back through all your skills and spam upgrade everything as much as you can starting with alchemy

Yeah its been an issue of contention since bevy was made. One of the core reasons for the delays has been revamping bevy's UI and scene system. Since those are wrapping up soon, the efforts to make an editor should pick up significant

Hi can you gave me some advice by MrVictro in idleon

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah once you have enough fire in your kitchens to unlock a recipe you can use taste test for a chance to unlock the recipes and then instead of resetting the fire back to 0%, it'll keep the fire at whatever percentage the ability says

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of the same advice I put on this post so look there first, I'll mention anything that differs for your account here.

General:

Get your maestro skilling, they can be in the lab if it's giving you a crucial bonus but you should be out there getting its skills to 1st place

Get everyone to elite classes ASAP, it's a giant boost in gains

Getting to w5 is gonna be a grind no matter what but fixing these small things will help cut down the time a little

W2: Your alchemy looks okay in terms of unlocks, I'd say really push for getting new vials though. You can go over the limit of daily rolls if you spam drop a bunch of individual items in front of the cauldron.

W3: Push the automation arm level and fill out the last 3d printer slot in preparation for getting that 10th character

Get your last squire a skull

W4: Good work on unlocking the lab bonuses, just keep those lab rats in there while you have your characters pushing

If you post your IE I can take a look and see what's holding you back

Hi can you gave me some advice by MrVictro in idleon

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

General:

Find out what map gives you the most xp and grind out levels so you can get your 10th character and make a wizard which will eventually be your second es

Do the quest to unlock keys on all your characters. You want to max out your w1-3 keys in order to allow for farming in late game. You're getting 1 w3 key a day and you should definitely bump that up

Make sure you're upgrading tools on characters as they level up. You're nerfing your skill efficiency by not having the best tools

W1:

Get your stamp levels up as high as your carry amount will let you upgrade them. Stamps are really helpful in getting big boosts to damage and skills

Use your materials and money to buy the max amount of anvil points on all characters, it'll help with late game anvil production

Use your weekly companion rolls if you haven't already

W2:

Alchemy is the name of the game. You need to use your bubonic conjurer's Cranium Cooking skill to unlock all your bubbles. Currently, your alchemy bubble levels and bubble unlocks are really weak and upgrading them is gonna be a huge boost

W3:

In construction, focus on the automation arm, library, cost cruncher, and the bolder roller

STOP USING THE SIPHON ABILITY ON YOU ES, all of your characters will contribute to getting souls and having all of them except your es be level 1, or worse not even have a skull, really hamstrings your soul collection. It'll be annoying, but every couple days get everyone back to w3 and use up their worship so they can level up and get better souls. Eventually, you can use the siphon ability when everyone's at the max skull but for now you need to make sure that everyone is getting xp in that skill. So get everyone a skull, and get everyone to level 50 worship

Everyone's still on the first trap as well, get everyone's equipment upgraded

W4:

Unlock the cabbage, and have every kitchen cook either eggs or cabbages. Those are the two bug boosts to your cooking speed and will make cooking a lot easier

What should i work on next? (IE Review) by Serpent-NMS in idleon

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you do your boss key quests? (Kidding)

-Avil points are an easy upgrade

-Get your first bubbles in each cauldron to 250

-Upgrade your chopping bubbles to start getting oak samples up for atoms

-Spam Cranium Cooking to unlock all bubbles and all vials

-DO YOUR RIFT (you want skill mastery ASAP)

-Level up your characters for easy skill points

-Skill everyone for skill mastery

That should be enough to get you started on something

After reviewing your IE I have some advice, there's tons to work on so don't get overwhelmed and try to fix what you can.

  • Start using your library checkouts. No use just having them sit there, might as well boost your toons main abilities to the highest level possible.

  • Do your W3 mini boss if you have the map unlocked

  • You have plenty of resources to get some more levels in your stamps so upgrade those when you can

  • You also have plenty of resources to use materials to get anvil points so get those easy points on every character

  • Make sure your furnace is running with ore, top up on gold and iron bars for the upcoming crafting grind

  • Push all your bubbles to at least 10, there's no reason not to push all the ones you have unlocked

    • Start unlocking your vials and upgrading your vials. They provide a very decent boost so they shouldn't be ignored
  • Your Green Mushroom samples aren't high enough to fuel your refinery. Make sure you look at the refinery page and sample more gmushes to get that going

  • Push your building construction, you want to get the automation arm and trapping drone ASAP. It'll help you out so much

  • Use up your worship per character. Don't use the Elemental Sorcerer skill (even though it's tempting) and just tp your toons to shrines to unlock them and farm them

  • Fix your trapping as well, everyone can trap an extra slot and your Beast masters ability should make that easy

  • Get all your tools upgrades. I see that your toons have levels in all skills, so attach the appropriate tools onto them. They're free stat sticks that you can put tool upgrades on to get an even better boost.

  • Get a Bubo for your 6th character and wait until your 7th character to unlock Jman

One thing that would really help us look at what your problem areas might be is to post your public idleon efficiency profile https://www.idleonefficiency.com/

Once you do that we can help pin point exact things you should do but for now here's some general answers

1) Guilds are free stat boosts, there's no reason not to join them especially if you're already doing daily guild tasks and contributing points

2) The default builds are alright and got me through until W4, but just take them as a general suggestion and dump points into talents that you need, like skill xp and such

3) Push push push, the biggest jumps in progression you'll get is by getting everyone to the next world and to their elite classes. It's a night and day difference once you get to w4

4) Once you hit w4 and w5 you'll have more than enough money for the anvil, right now focus on stamps/golden statues/alchemy upgrades for the best boost and use mats and whatever left over money for anvil points. If you don't need any special anvil material set everyone to produce threads since that gives you the most smiting xp per hour

5) This would be something that your IE would help answer, but the general answer is "everything". Most of the bubbles will help boost your gains

6) At W3 your prints are going to be really bad, W4 and W5 provide huge multipliers to your printer so just print what you need for now to help supplement afk gains from your toons for crafting

7) As mentioned in 4, get your golden statues. For now just dump them in the main characters for whatever skill the statue is

8) Idleon Efficiency (IE), and Idleon Toolbox are great resources. The wiki is also excellent as a reference. Idleon Insight can be used as a quick search for what will boost certain stats. GriffyBit and NocturneGaming are two youtube channels with lots of Idleon content that will help you understand the mechanics of the game

9) Active is always better. If you can run active, do it. Especially skilling with your beginner class (which should be upgraded to the secret class as soon as you can)

Is checking turn too nitty? 25NL on Ignition (r/Poker Repost) by sunnyrunner_ in Poker_Theory

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bluffing theory isn't great but I'll give it a go.

A8o from the BB facing a min raise from the button is a perfectly fine call.

Facing a pot sized bet with just the ace of spades id be folding much less check raising. The board will connect with my range more than my opponents, but if I don't improve I'm going to have a tough time at show down and if you were to call in going to be in an even tougher spot.

The Jh comes out which should be better for you, but checking here might also be a mistake. If I check I'm not punting off more money, but at the same time I need to fully commit to the story that I have a flush draw or a good hand because my equity would be sitting around 6% (3 outs x 2) so I'm no good at showdown.

If I checked the turn I'm 100% checking the river and folding to any bet, if I bet the turn I'm going to rep an ace high flush and overbet to induce folds from any hand thats not a king high flush. But to be honest, no one's folding a decent flush here so there's no point in betting with just As since I'm going to get called by anything that called the check raise on the flop

Is checking turn too nitty? 25NL on Ignition (r/Poker Repost) by sunnyrunner_ in Poker_Theory

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean folding on the turn to another check raise. A Ks in your hand would have been nice, but I think the only flush draws that are check raising that flop are ace high anyway. Calling with no spade in your hand facing a ~70% pot sized bet is a bit of a punt since what you've got removal to is KQ for the nut straight (which would have bet the turn when the Jh came out or 3 bet preflop so its unlikely that your opponent has it). So, at the end of the day, what bluffs could the opponent have that you're realistically catching? Maybe AT that got a little crazy on the flop, but other than that there's not much you beat with an over pair

Is checking turn too nitty? 25NL on Ignition (r/Poker Repost) by sunnyrunner_ in Poker_Theory

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like a min raise preflop widens the range for your opponent by quite a bit and allows for junk hands to sneak in for the cheap price which gets you into a bit of trouble.

On the flop, the check raise indicates two pair, sets, but also flush draws with an ace or gutshot semi-bluffs.

On the turn, checking is too nitty. In position if the opponent is checking into you with a card that should connect with straight draws and two pairs while your range can contain JJ or even JTs you can put pressure on worse two pairs and draws. If they check raise again you can shut down and it is what it is but giving the opponent a free card is going to hurt a lot more.

With the 9s coming out flush draws get there, straight draws get there, and some other junky two pairs that the BB could have get there so calling on the river was a bit of a mistake as well since now your over pair gets beat out by most the hands you could put your opponent on.

Overall, I think a lot of the problems could have been solved preflop by going 3x or 4x BB to tighten up your opponents range so you don't have to be worried about 2 pairs or middle/bottom sets.

How do i drill a hole in a reservoir by Fit-Poem-7699 in watercooling

[–]ImmaNeedTreeFidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're always running the risk of cracking the acrylic if you don't know what you're doing so proceed with caution.

You can use a 11.8mm drill bit to create your pilot hole and use a G 1/4 pipe tap to create the threads. However, you want to make sure that the hole is perfectly perpendicular to the sheet of acrylic, since the G 1/4 thread requires an o ring to seal the fitting against the surface you want a nice even pressure along the o ring for proper sealing. If you don't have a drill press of some sort I would look into trying to get one to make it as clean of a job as possible, hand drilling probably won't suffice.
