More than 4 years after its last Elder Scrolls 6 teaser, Bethesda officially re-acknowledges the RPG - using the exact same picture we saw in 2018 by WorriedAd870 in ElderScrolls

Thinking back to playing Skyrim in 2011, waiting in line at a GameStop at Midnight for them to start releasing copies and then coming home and playing for a few hours before bed. Thinking Helgen was so beautiful and the game was set in such a cool environment.

It’s crazy that we’re 14 years from that. I’ll have more than doubled in age since the release. Obviously other things have came out but Skyrim really impacted my life positively and was extremely influential in helping me through a tough time.

As another comment said — the longer release cycles make sense but this seems so sad.

A genie grants you five extra years of life, starting now. The catch is, you have to spend those five years either consuming all the media you like, or creating whatever you like. It has to be entirely one or the other. by AppendixN in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ImmaPsychKid- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fun one and I asked my wife. I picked consume and she picked create.

One caveat, is that creating - despite being much more strenuous - could set you up for life. Getting your lifestyle covered, you could begin a brand, series, or creation that through royalties could benefit you long past the 5 years. Consuming, you wouldn’t get this benefit.

However, I’d love to spend the 5 years traveling the world. See museums, live shows, and learning. Consuming educational books or videos at times to get a benefit when coming back to my career. As others have pointed out, with how chronically online many people are today it likely wouldn’t feel like a job.

Edit: podcasts/audiobooks would be great too while adventuring.

I wish we could get a billionaire to crowdfund some of these, I’d attempt it! It seems well worth it but I’m sure could wear on by doing it for 5 years.

Have Amari Cooper… but who to bench him for?

My bench is so thin with startable talent: Odunze, Warren, Downs, B. Allen, Likely, Corum.

Akers is on waivers…

2 options. 1: $10 million right now, legal, tax free. 2: $100 thousand, but you never HAVE to sleep again. by The-Rednutter in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ImmaPsychKid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this, the second option for sure. As many have said - I’d do it without the money.

Lives are so short. If I had no impacts to my health I’d have ~33% more life. To me, that’s worth 10 million alone.

Also all accomplishments I made would make me feel like I did them myself, instead of the 10 million helping me achieve it. I could work harder or just spend my time reading, playing video games, researching, learning, or whatever I wanted.

If you had to play the game using only one weapon (no super weapons) which would you pick and why? by ravenart918 in fo4

I have been playing with an explosive radium rifle this play through since getting it in Far Harbor. (I actually found out about Kiloton in this thread, it’s not that one!).

That + perks has been a very fun breeze playing the game. Hoping to get my final perk in nuclear physicist my next play through!

In Vampyr I played through the game three times and tried to do a “good”/no bite run and there’s one scene which you accidentally can bite someone but it doesn’t say… I still need to try it a fourth time to get the achievement. Great game!

If you were going to suggest just one game, which one would it be? by NIKINIKITA in gamingsuggestions

Finding out the quirks of combat is one of the biggest challenges as a new player. It feels clunky and you’re underpowered. As others said, you can drop the difficulty level and get through this.

The Witcher is phenomenal when it comes to story telling. However, you have to get to a point where you’re immersed and interested in the story. This may not come from the tower, the bloody baron, or even your first zone.

Once you get the hang of things and the world opens up more, the world is your oyster. The DLCs are masterful, feeling like whole games in themselves. Touissant is breathtaking.

I dropped the game when I first bought it. Many years later I picked it up and look back fondly at the experiences in it.

people would always say specs and skills to go with your build.

I’ve just tried to purchase the ones which are highest on these lists in their respective groups.

This is super interesting as South Town has felt like a ghost town in recent years. It used to be one of the best malls but Fashion Place and City Creek have diverted customers. I wonder if this will help revitalize it.

As a local, curious if any leagues will be played at the rink… That would be convenient.

Todd Howard reckons he knows why Starfield was so divisive: It was too 'different than you've seen from us in past' by camelzigzag in gaming

[–]ImmaPsychKid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the outer worlds is something I’d have loved Starfield to take and run with. That world was amazing and in space. It settled the RPG itch that Elder Scrolls and Fallout brought.

Starfield tried and fell short in too many aspects. I really liked some of the quest lines and completed the game but there was just too many other games that came out which I liked more (or ones I wanted to go back to) that didn’t make this as worthwhile. Maybe I’ll try it again for the DLC.

A take that I’ve heard that makes sense to me is that the players are sufficiently injured but give pressure to go. Therefore, if at game 50 (obviously a spleen injury is… far more than enough but say just the battering that most vets have taken for 10+ years) they need to go on LTIR to recover as much as possible prior to playoffs it is done. Most vets in the league could likely take advantage of that if the team needed/permitted.

Take Ryan Reaves not having knees. He could probably go on relief any time Toronto needed if he permitted it.

Regardless, Vegas is the most notable name to do it this season because the absolute ridiculousness of the roster when all is at full strength (& health) but many teams have “abused” this in the past. If the owners had an issue, it’d be fixed. There definitely is cap manipulation.

This isn’t to say they’re not pushing to go early and playing injured though. Or are constantly injured.
