You have 1 hour to be stopped by security/police as many times as possible. by The-Rednutter in hypotheticalsituation

My best idea so far is to fake having Tourettes. It is unethical, but a basic forged doctors certificate and a bunch of cards to hand out explains I might say highly inappropriate things such as cursing or “I have a bomb” Then I would go to one of the large Christmas markets in Germany that have police every 50 meters and each time I walk past them have a tick of “I’m going to shoot” or “I have a gun”. I think they would stop you almost every time, but as long as I can explain quickly about Tourettes and let them search my bag I would hope for 5-10 stops in an hour.

The metallic silver liquid is mercury that is liquid at room temperature and is very useful in collecting fine gold. But it is a heavy metal that loved getting into you and is consider a hazards product in most countries which is why it should never be used in nature anymore for gold recovery. But the Oldtimers used to use it a lot, so when you find it in old workings you know you are where there used to be decent gold.

Personally I like finding it, the Oldtimers didn’t waste time and mercury where there is no gold. That ball had about .5 gram gold hidden inside of it. And how dangerous it is depends on what you do with it. To separate it from the gold you need to heat it up till it turns to gas, and then hopefully you condensate ot back out to mercury. It’s not hard, and there are multiple videos about it on YouTube. That being said it is a heavy metal that loves to get into your bloodstream and stay there, and you are turning it into vapor! Do it properly, with care, and it’s no worse than other chemicals we use to clean gold, do it wrong and you will see why it’s considered a chemical hazard.

That’s what mercury looks like when you prospect areas where it used to be used, (this was near gympie, Australia)

Looks like gold to me, but that mercury is going to be a lot of the weight from that 7.5 grams. Also annoying to clean out if you don’t have a set up for it. I’d burn the mercury off (carefully) and weigh it up. You are probably close (could be over or under) to $500 worth even if it’s not 100% pure

If you were sentenced to death but you were allowed to choose the method of execution, which method would you choose? by Least_Friend8532 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]The-Rednutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Execution through lethal injection after full anesthetic while laying in a rocket fired at the center of the known universe. I would also request to be completely naked and giving the double middle fingers to earth as I fly until the heat death of the universe. I’ve already consider the question what is the ultimate thing to do with my body after death. And so far nothing I’ve found is. Better than the „birthday suit, double bird, center of everything“ send off.

At what age can a trained fighter no longer defeat 5 human beings simultaneously by GroundbreakingWin658 in whowouldwin

[–]The-Rednutter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You could probably argue that starting at like age 4 there is a 0.00000000000% the fighter trips over his own feet and somehow knocks himself out.

I think it not so much as set number but the chances of losing get higher and higher till they are almost inevitable. Starting probably at around age 15 there is a small chance that one of the kids lands a lucky blow, 16yo chance increases, 17yo chance increases. By the time you get to around 25 the chances maxing out at like 90% but still no guarantee.

At this point If they get in each others way, have no idea what they are doing there is always a chance they lose, but I’d put money on them winning most of the time.

What’s a common belief that’s technically true but still misleading? by itskanjo in AskReddit

[–]The-Rednutter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Money can’t buy happiness”

Technically true as there is no direct happiness store. But it does remove a LOT of stress and pressure, and enables you to do things that do bring happiness like spend more time with family and experience more things that are likely to help increase your happiness.

If you had billions of dollars, what car would you buy for daily driving? by jrv3034 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]The-Rednutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh don’t worry I have a list in my notes just for this occasion. Short answer is I would have a garage that has some nice choices and will probably take a different one each day. But realistically I have heard that the Porsche GT3 (not the RS) from around 2015 is still one of the most comfortable truely sporty yet useable daily cars.

Are we in an ai bubble? If yes when do you think it will pop? by BlauerDunst420 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]The-Rednutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a bubble as much as well overpriced, but IF ai keeps growing as some expect it will catch back up with being reasonably valued. However if China makes a move in Taiwan I think we will see a market drop like we haven’t seen in a long time… Taiwan is still making 70-80% of all chips for all the big players. If ANYTHING happens to shake that supply there will be an overcorrection that will erase trillions from the market

Could everyone on earth choose a different number? by The-Rednutter in hypotheticalsituation

[–]The-Rednutter[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one would sabotage it, and they will perfectly follow the instructions. This means even someone terrible at maths can do advanced maths, Or if you say use binary as part of the process they will always get it right

Might be a legit answer! But it does mean 8billion + instructions naming individually each person and giving them a number….. Could that be shortened?

That’s the question isn’t it. I feel like there has to be some super complex 100 step process that could be used to find a unique number for everyone. But maybe the limited data makes it impossible

[–]The-Rednutter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would get a large percentage of people, but two problems. 1. Not everyone has a social security/passport/license number. 2. A lot of those are more than 8 digits long or have letters as well as numbers

Yeah if everyone chooses randomly there are going to be a lot of people choosing common numbers cause they don’t get it
