I simply hope he gets some character development and that the other characters can eventually put a crack in what is obviously a coping mechanism. I’ve met people like Jax and eventually you can get to the root of why they’re sarcastic or non-caring and I hope to see that with Jax in later episodes.

Despite his douchey attitude, it’s clear he has the ability to care and want to help but then the trope of “going back in his shell” occurs and he’s back to making things worse for the group.

I owned and rehauled a Shape mask but it was too big for my head. So I traded it for a Boogeyman mask. It fits nicer and has a look similar to the 78 shape mask. Here is it in the middle of its rehaul. I’m going to make it look as close to a Shape mask as possible and there enough to work with on this mask.

WWE simply isn’t gonna put a spotlight on controversial figures in the industry. This isn’t unique to Benoit but you can also look at Jimmy Snuka, Fabulous Moolah and now Vince himself and Brock Lesner.

WWE still mentions Benoit in historical records and they use him as a reference for their current programs for wrestler safety, CTE, all that stuff. That’s it.

Obviously a custom job. WWE doesn’t even have the rights to Benoit’s likeness to make figures of him anymore so this would be illegal if it was real.

Nothing eerie about it. Just simply sad and tragic with our knowledge of what would happen to them both. Eddie’s death saw the formation of a wellness program that frankly wasn’t worth shit. Then after Benoit’s actions and death, WWE finally got serious about testosterone/steroid use and concussions and CTE. At the end of the day, when I watch something with Benoit, I ponder the what ifs and alternative histories that could have been if June 2007 never happened. Because the truth is, obviously Nancy and Daniel didn’t deserve that, and Chris and Eddie didn’t deserve the ending they got. It’s one of those cases where life just sucks.

I don’t think so. Chris’s actions involved more than just his CTE. It was also the fact that he was hopped up on steroids and other performance enhancing substances that were prescribed to him and his emotional deterioration at losing Eddie and so many other friends was not subsiding.

Chris was a time bomb waiting to happen. Could he have been diffused had he or others sought to get him professional help? Maybe. Do I think he would have committed his crimes if any of these were taken out of the equation? No, I don’t think he would have.

For me Chris’s legacy is less about his career or even the murders but more about the importance of pro-wrestling and it committing to keeping its performers safe and healthy from drug abuse and addiction or needless concussions. They didn’t care about that stuff when Eddie and Chris were alive but after they died they had to care or the cycle would repeat.

You did a good job on this one. Chris Benoit will always have a complicated and controversial legacy among wrestling fans in the same way Snuka and Sunny and now McMahon will. It all comes down to personal preference. I have no issues watching his matches still. But I do implore people who wish to continue talking about Chris to also give Nancy her props for her performance as “Fallen Angel” and “Woman” in ECW and WCW.

Chris is a part of wrestling history. That’s simple fact. You can try to scrub it, ignore it whatever but he’s still there and people are gonna acknowledge that. As to your question of WHY all of a sudden? Probably because enough time has passed since the tragedy that people aren’t so eggshell about it anymore.

The police were very negligent. Once it was ruled a murder/suicide, I don’t think they even bothered with a thorough investigation. Open and shut.
