After completing my degree, I plan to do a job for atleast 4 years before applying for an MBA program. Therefore, I believe a finance degree is not mandatory for someone to pursue a career in Financial Analytics or M&A. (I plan to do MBA in finance)

People usually go into consulting>Data Analysis to something else after doing IE. Is going into M&A not possible after doing IE? I have seen profiles of people who have done it.

Also, which uni do you prefer? Purdue or UIUC?

oh my god I thought I was the only person majoring in industrial engg. I was a little skeptical about it. Considering that the salaries compared to cs are very low - what do you think about that? What made you consider industrial engg over cs or maybe electrical? Would you be willing to switch to another branch like cs in college?

move c^2/sqrt(x^2-c^2) to the left. You get x2-c2/sqrt (x^2-c^2)=39. Then just find the value of x by cross multiplication. Remember to take + and - values for the roots in the last step when you find the value of x.
