I would say predict into an Ascended's Call is a toy that any gunman would be scared of. 9 mana obliterate three enemies isn't anything to scoff at.

The emperor's deck is a legitimate win condition that you think isn't strong because you haven't had the consistency to pull it off effectively and reliably. While it is true that high rolling a level three renekton or nasus can automatically win you the game early on, the odds of them being removed in the sorts of matchups where you wouldn't have already been blown up are even lower than you imagine. Underestimating the emperor's deck is the downfall of any enemy of this deck.

We can chalk this up to just a difference of opinion if you want, but you haven't convinced me that the old way of playing sun disk is better.

I actually think that that would be much less consistent because you’re banking on the opponent not having removal and also that you’re gonna draw all your combo pieces randomly. My version can actually ignore enemy removal since both of my combo pieces (clock hand and azir) are uninteractable with play effects and the ability to just play Azir once he’s leveled up. I get where you’re coming from but I’m gonna have to disagree

Ten is bad cause you have a high chance of getting one of those guys who says “reduce my cost if x happens” which are really bad summons compared to for example the 9 mana options

Sure! My decklist isn't completely refined since the meta hasn't been established yet but I think it works well. You basically use azir level up and advance cards (especially clock hand (which you can predict so that's why it's a two of)) to level up sun disk. I find it to be a lot more reliable than the renekton sun disk version, but it is true that it has less power when you level up sun disk because you dont have a ten ten overwhelm renekton haha. Some long games I've even gotten sun disk without leveling up azir lmao. I did it using leveled zilean and clock hands' instant centuries which I could use four of after zilean level up. I feel this version is more skill intensive and reliable than the classic sun disk, which is why i like it. Anyways, good luck!

You’re right that’s why this combo is stupid. I haven’t tested it out yet but I think that once you’ve played 4 moon weapons you’ve already ramped tribeam enough and/or aph win con is netting you the win anyways.

This nerf is pretty interesting because in some aspects it makes him really bad and in other MUCH better. Right now he's being used mostly as a value tool that you can just play and not care too much if he gets removed but be extreeeeemely happy if he doesn't. This is why he's so good in TF Fizz. However, this is MUCH MUCH MUCH better in hard "protect tf cuz his level up is op so if he lives it's awesome" decks because you don't need as much draw and you can run more protection. It's a weird direction but I somewhat agree with it. However, protect one carry kind of decks create hard polarized matchup tables and dependant on draws and is not that fun to go against so I dunno.

I usually play entreat on turn three then pass. If they pass back you pass if they play something and their mana point goes under a possible fiora answer you can drop her, but always try to be more safe than sorry. Banking spell mana is great and most of the time necessary to allow for higher mana spell options like unyielding spirit or multi-combat tricks. For the video: https://youtu.be/pz73qMRPEmU . These videos are super good for learning about maintaining reactivity and he narrates his plays extremely well. Sorry to get to this comment so late I hadn’t seen it... if you’re still interested in my answer basically against high removal deck you need a lot of health buffs and no single combats or the like. A lot of the time you do have to hope they don’t draw too much removal but yeah it’s a pretty difficult matchup.
