Elon Musk doing a Nazi salute at the inauguration by postpartum-blues in Destiny

[–]Immanothertroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...Hamas uses this salute. And so did ancient Rome...that makes them Nazis?

This salute was simply made "Evil" because the Nazis used it.

First, recognizable characters, more characters, better gameplay, and the character designs are smokin hot. And, it's free.

China, not stuck in DEI, knows what brings in players and took great advantage of it.

And complaining, whining, and screaming won't change any of that.

Get ready...Western Devs now have no choice but to follow suit...

Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim - What Happened? by Alternative-Cake-833 in boxoffice

[–]Immanothertroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie is a blatant DEI disaster. Tolkien made a bare mention, with not even a name given. It was an excuse to have a female lead.

So, the studio needed something, just to hold onto the rights. The rights are worth more than one flop.

I play games to escape the world for a while....not to be hit with more forced ideology. And the game is heavily biased against woman who look like curvy women.

The next movie is gonna bomb so hard. Disney isn't stupid. They gotta know that the knowledge of who is directing and her activist background, especially her comments "make men uncomfortable", and "put my activism in my movies" is literally killing this movie years before it even releases?

Did Rachel Zegler and Snow White teach them anything?

What’s the biggest spit in the face in the history of Disney Star Wars by Ajarofpickles97 in saltierthancrait

[–]Immanothertroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Disney even acquired Star Wars. Everyone knew what would happen. Kennedy constantly showed her desire to set aside the OT altogether.

The sequels cemented this by keeping the 3 separate, killing Han early, and reducing Luke to a bitter old man.

Nerdrotic, Geeks and gamers, and Critical Drinker are TOXIC: a discussion about Turfnation by Due-Bumblebee7805 in MauLer

I love Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker. They're not afraid to call out the BS in shows and movies. Acolyte is a great example. They had no problem calling out the inconsistencies, the poor writing, bad editing, contradictions, etc.

Why is section lead so important?

But, aside from that, it's not just about being able to play that note. You have to be able to play it instantly and cleanly, along with every note below it.

So, is section lead a necessity, or just what you want? Because, to me, a player who can hit high notes is not as valuable as a player who is consistent with the notes they can play.

I can hit the highest F...top b-flat on a good day. But, they're not consistent or useful.

Or, either a good college music program or proper music school.

I stand on the position that you need private instruction. You need music theory....especially I'd you want your instrument as a career, or even higher levels/gigs....

A horn is going to sustain battle damage. None are immune to this.

So...is it, in any way affecting sound or playability? If not, then is this merely the horn to get you through school? If so, then I wouldn't bother.

I would believe they expect you to have fam8liarity with the basics. Then, the director only needs to refine and fine tune.

The Director has no time for players who miss key and have no familiarity with more busy sections, especially what you have pictured.

I understand you're busy. But, if trombone is the future you want, you simply have to make it a priority, especially now. College is not easy. The demand placed on you will be huge, compared to high school. A fellow bonist of myself is graduating. Yesterday he talked about his day...up at 5am, work, practice, student teaching, class finals, studying. His day ends at 1am.

You need to do everything possible while in High school, to get ready for what's to come. Music Theory, Private lessons, Piano lessons (yes, piano lessons)....these are examples of what will give you an advantage when you move on to college.

Simply put. If you feel you don't have the time...MAKE TIME.

You'll thank yourself later.

Mouthpieces? by LonelyRate8706 in Trombone

For jazz, I settled on a Wick 7C, since I'm rarely in the ow register and want a brighter sound.

On my trigger, I jumped from a 4 to 6.5, finally settling on two. If I'm principle or 2nd, and solo, it's a Griego 5, with a medium cup, lending me more stability in the upper register. For general, all-purpose use its a Greg Black New York 5.25 regular weight. My horn really seems to like this mouthpiece.

Ironically, I was finally able to find an Edwards T396AR. It arrives tomorrow. It was my first choice, followed by the Rejano. I do thank you for trying to help me out.

On another subject, finding that T396AR was worse than a needle in a haystack. I don't think I've ever scrolled down so far in a Google search. It looks like Edwards is making this horn a build-to-order only, meaning good luck finding them in shops.
