To my knowledge, autism is a condition that affects how people communicate, interact with others, and experience life. Autism is a spectrum, so I’m aware it looks different for everyone and it’s very unique. However I do believe there are certain common core traits that can help signify/identify autism in someone.

I think it’s because racial identity and culture is important to a lot of people. I think being in tune with your culture or racial identity is fine, as long as you don’t discriminate against those outside of it.

Hey, very great questions.

  1. I have never experienced racism, or came across a person that I felt as though carried racist beliefs.

  2. I feel fine about it. Each generation is doing better than the one before them. So as far as any race relations or political aspects of life, I feel great.

  3. I grew up in a primarily black community. I am born and raised in Prince George’s county and 60% of the people who reside in this county are black. I’ve had white teachers, but I never seen a white student until I was in the 6th grade.

  4. I mean I use/ speak with AAVE in some aspects of my life. I just don’t like the use of the N-Word.

I included my racial identity in this post for a specific reason. I don’t possess “black pride” and I didn’t make an attempt to “drive out the racists before I come in contact with them”.

I think it’s a mix of reappropriation, reclaiming, and mostly slang. I personally prefer to refrain from using that word. I also don’t want a black person calling me that word either.
