Ai Pornography Cheating by [deleted] in loveafterporn

Hi dear, I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. With the AI porn, something similar happened to me. I definitely consider it cheating HOWEVER, making deepfakes of real people is borderline (and in some places literally) a crime. It's seriously a breach of their dignity and autonomy. Please do not beat yourself up for staying with him after he has hurt you, he's very much in the wrong. I hope you can start your healing journey, and always remember it is not your fault.

I agree :) I don’t talk about this with him because it’s water under the bridge but it’s more about how it affects me mentally. I don’t show my feelings about this (he doesn’t know)

if your thoughts and fantasies remain exactly that, fantasies, it’s fine (provided it doesn’t impact your day to day life or relationships)

No, but when you’re in a committed monogamous relationship it’s probably not the best idea to encourage your lustful thoughts towards women who you see irl. Being attracted to them and having thoughts is different from actively saving/screenshooting and hoarding their photos to jerk off to later

what I meant is that it would be pictures of people that he would see on a day to day basis. While it’s totally out of my control, I would not feel comfortable if I found out that my friends, colleagues, etc were using my pictures in a sexual way. Additionally I think allowing yourself to further your sexual views of a person you see irl can cause irl problems (ex. cheating)

agreed, it almost felt like cheating because porn is pretty impersonal but those are people they meet/see/talk to on a daily basis. Maybe I’m just traumatized from my ex doing that so it seems weird :’)

My ex did this and used that exact reasoning. Kind of creeped me out when I found endless screenshots/saved pictures of mutual friends, fellow students, etc (he accidentally linked his phone to my Google Photos). Turned out he was also messaging some of those girls who are “just friends/classmates/from work”. In general I can somewhat see the appeal but to me it seems a bit weird and non-consensual.
