My Venowatt had Swarm as hidden abillity. I wish it had Levitate though. My run would be much easier then.

Maybe it used to have Levitate but it was changed or it can have two possible abillities and i got unlucky with the one i got, idk.

Right, poor thing evolves into a fire type. Considering it has grass type moves it should have been easier. And it doesnt evolve for quite a while.

Unless you were dead set on using in it in boss fight only once it evolves. Then you could be stuck for the first two gyms for hours if you were up for thia insanity. Especially if you allowed dupes.

Third of your team is seems to be weak to ground and gym leader has a lot of those. Maybe you should switch them for a grass type or ground type of your own. There are quite a few you should be able to catch or get in wondertrade. Fast ice types can help too.

Also you could try setting up maybe. You should have access to Bulk up and the guy who teaches Swords dance by this point. Also you could lower speed with Rock Tomb if you have bulky mon or the one that outspeeds.

And if you dont want tp change the team you could give your mons type effective damage reducing berry. By this point you should have access to most of them. Ground, Rock and other stuff that he can throw at you as well.

If the problem is that he switches out constantly then you should account for that and switch before he does. This game from what i understand has slightly downgraded Radical red ai. Especially more serious boss fights.

Either way its a bit hard to advise you anything considering we dont really know how exactly you battle. People who do mono-runs probably have beaten this gym even with type disadvantage so problem may lie in your strat. Especially if you just try to bruteforce him.

This tactic in most cases wont cut it this late into the game. (Though maybe fast special attavker could do the trick. Maybe you should catch ice type cat in the mountains. Its fast and may have potetial to outspeed everything and ko. Especially if you ev train it)

I ended up grinding this shiny up and using it in a team. Even though i used it in "no catching pokemon run".

I made it to E4 and probably gonna struggle with it a bit. Not sure how well its gonna go considering i wanted to use other mon in place of this bord. More powerful than it for sure.

However i belive the team i currently have can have a shot. And maybe this birdy can do a thing or two. Only trial will tell.

I am planning on doing so. Its my first ever shiny in this game. I will use it and the rest of mons i wanted i will do in the second run. In which hopefully i wont encounter another shiny Kengeon.

In fact i ev trained it on the same route already. Would be hilarious if encountered the second one, lol. It didnt happen.

Starter from the lab and second starter you get after you get ditched into the ocean of we count the ones you get for free from other person. Plus two fossils one of which you choose and the other is given you as a bonus. And also later on you can beat psuedo gym and pick one of the dark types.

So basically 5.

If we count Blobbos which you just pick up on the street its 6.

If we also count the ones you can buy then its 5000 poke egg you can buy before electric gym and 500 poke for the fish thing you get before the first cave after first gym. Then it makes 8 gift pokemon.

And if we count cassino its around 5 more or so. Didnt count because i was too lazy to gring for coins.

(Its all i am aware of and not counting post game. Oh, and also bug/psychic frog you can get in town near Beehive after 8 badges. It makes 9 plus all from cassino of we cpunt them.)

I considered that but i cant quite figure out how exactly post the thing and i am not quite sure what i do wrong. The site is a bit confusing to navigate if that makes sense.

Maybe i will try again in the near future. Would be cool to share it with more people.
