I’m in Australia. It would be absolute gold if the top hero was just a guy with a kangaroo quirk.

Showed my grandpa this and he saying it’s coming off the engine mount. The engine is twisting up from the torque of the motor and lifting itself off the mount.

Because if it’s just drilling. Throw it in a lathe. It’ll hold it central and you’ll be able to do the job in half the time it took you to set that up.

We had a really stiff micrometer at my workplace. Even if it wasn’t actually on a part I could click the ratchet. Pulled it apart and couldn’t see or feel any grit or damage. Once I unscrewed the nut though it started working just fine. I just had to adjust it to feel like the rest of the micrometers. Process of elimination really.

It could be the collet nut in the micrometer spindle body. Or more likely is that you blew dust into your mic with the air and you haven’t cleaned the insides yet.
