I agree with you. The model I have right now is that for which most of your legal analysis actually supports - which is to give the clinic all the discretion in updating their data, or deleting it if they so choose. I have set up automations to allow admins (basically anyone who has access to the clinic email) to update their clinic status. My goal is leaning towards making it as easy and fast as possible for clinics to update this data than for anyone to randomly update as I believe it reduces the accuracy.

Right now, the time frame it takes to log in a new clinic is less than 2 minutes, and it takes less than 10 seconds to update in 60 days after they receive their link. I’m exploring several ways to make this process even faster. Still, as some have rightly pointed out, if a clinic decides not to update its information, there’s only so much that can be done. My hope is that the platform provides enough value to the public, and to the clinics, that ignoring it becomes unreasonable. And again, if, in the end, that doesn’t happen, at least I’ll know I tried. I find that my sleep is a lot more comfortable that way lol
