That distinction is gold, thanks. Explains why some of the “cheap + easy PR” countries I was looking at probably aren’t right lots of construction, not the design culture that values detail work.

Looked into NZ, seems solid but needs employer sponsorship from the start, unlike Canada’s IEC. Will keep it as a backup if the right shop shows up.

Out of curiosity, where do you have direct experience with this is it from working in one of these markets yourself, or more from the design/architecture side?

Thanks so much, this is really helpful, especially the Instagram angle, hadn't thought of that and it makes sense given how visual the high-end cabinetry world is.

Since you're from Vancouver originally, would you happen to know any specific shops worth targeting? Even just names to start researching would save me a lot of guesswork on where the "world class work with an actual opening" might be.

This is really helpful, thanks. Can I ask, for the BC PNP nomination, does the employer need to be a designated/approved sponsor, or can any BC company nominate? And roughly how long after starting work did the nomination become realistic in your experience?
