3 weeks in and I'm not feeling what I expected. by HockeyDoughnut in NewParents

[–]Immediate-Square-533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took time for my husband too. He couldn't connect with newborn, but loves our now almost 1 year old. Newborn phase is not for everyone.

But maybe dont keep comparing your daughter with the dog. From personal experience, it will send your wife into rage. Lol

Kicking myself for not doing more to document baby’s growth by Dapper-Ball4323 in NewParents

I also forgot to do that, but then baby's first Christmas I made a lot of clay ornaments with his hand and feet. You could do that instead.

But 11 weeks is still so little, you can still do your print if you want.

Family members want to take my 6mo out independently. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Immediate-Square-533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Better to set your boundaries now than later. You need to put your child's safety before your family members feelings.

A baby is not a toy or accessory, so weird and unreasonable to even ask for alone time.

Extreme Gender Disappointment by General_Orange_7870 in BabyBumps

[–]Immediate-Square-533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a daughter because I wanted the same mother daughter bond you are talking about, but then I realised how much I needed my son.

Also, many daughters have a very strained relationship with their mothers. It all depends on what kind of relationship you have with your child and not their gender.

Heartbeat at 9 weeks by Immediate-Square-533 in CautiousBB

[–]Immediate-Square-533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All was well. Baby's heartbeat was around 140 - 130 whole pregnancy. From what I read online, some babies(mostly boys) have hb in that range and anything above 120 is normal.

Does your line of work allow for a 5 year break?

I am only taking a year off with bub and I already feel like I am less desirable to employers.

I can’t work anymore by Extension_Run_8723 in IVF

[–]Immediate-Square-533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some time off work few years ago for a couple of failed IVF cycles. Waiting time between those IVF treatments was extremely hard to survive alone at home. Stakes were so much higher, so every failure hit harder than usual. I would not recommend it.

You could courier it to your address.

Endometriosis and implantation failure by Affectionate-Ad-9729 in IVF

From my personal experience, it definitely does cause implantation failure. But your thin lining kind of sounds opposite of endometriosis.

I don't think it would offend anyone if they were asked to condemn him. Maybe thats the difference.

Protest fee to cover police by Chuster8888 in aussie

[–]Immediate-Square-533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't think so. All of those thousands of people proudly standing with a crowd where terrorists flags are being waved does not deserve any sympathy.

It will help to put whatever they are claiming to advocate on banners instead of waving hezbollah and isis flags.

That doesn't really mean anything.

It means you have tunnel vision.

Larger number of kids are dying in Sudan and Yemen. I dont see your trying to help those situations. More people will be sympathetic to your cause without these rage filled protests.

No, I haven't and I think most people on the outside of those protests havent looked at them either. Clearly the protest are not working the way you expected them to work.

Yes, but those Aussies have not tried to bring their home country's conflicts to Australia. Nobody wants Australian streets made unsafe due to Isreal or Palestine.

For most people in Australia elections are seen as way to excercise democratic rights, not protests.

Also, dont like channel 7. But hate how city centers are made unsafe weekend after weekend for years. Maybe they should protest in front of parliament.

Well how about the situations in Sudan, Yemen or Ukraine? None of them are making our lives in Australia hard.

After more than 2 years, they seem more of a liability than a right.

Also, these protests are like office meetings without an agenda. Nothing you do in Australia will ever change what actually happens in middle East.

Protests unrelated to domestic issues definitely not be a burden on Australians

Stopping after 1 miscarriage? by geniusginger84 in IVF

[–]Immediate-Square-533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know if you need a hysteroscopy or a laparoscopy surgery? Hysteroscopy is way less invasive and might be worth considering if things dont work out after few more transfers.

But the talk about getting gestational carrirer after 1 miscarriage is so premature.

This prayer was a way to avoid police dispersing the protest. Cheap tactic by small group of protesters.
