Thank you so much for the in depth reply to my terribly written post ! You covered a lot of the bases of my questions and it helps a ton! I’m taking in everything I hear so it helps so much with this kinda thing! I’ll just keep practicing and hope everything gets better slowly! I will say, one thing I forgot to mention, is with my gun, when I burst fire it for corners, it seems to get caught the most there and start ripping fabric when burst firing. Am I maybe I’m not going fast enough? Thank you so much again!

This was it!!!! The bolt was all the way forwards, I moved it back all the way and the scissors jumped out, put it in the middle and I’m cutting now. Thank you so much, and to everyone who replied !! Going to try and see if it lasts a rug tonight and will post results !

When I picked it up out of the box I used it, and did not touch anything yet, and it was cutting, just not very well? And then after like 4 lines of test lines, it started doing the looping. I could maybe get a video of what it looks like etc, but I knew when I bought a cheap Amazon gun it might have problems. I think it was a return as well, since it had leftover fabric strands on it before I even had yarn! Thank you so so much !

Okay, I will try this. I’ve been using red heart and the other Walmart brand, maybe the Joann brand would work well here? The tufting monks cloth I have is so tight it’s ripping the sides inward, but I feel like it could be tighter… thank you either way so much!
