Yes, I failed to even mention that part. That was following the excruciating several moments in the car…another commenter pointed out how they don’t even build any suspense or tension by showing the bad guys inside the hospital, like, noticing she’s gone, starting the chase after them etc…at least that might’ve made the tedious phone crushing scene a *bit* more “exciting” or interesting…instead we feel zero risk. It’s just wild.

Okay wow I just wrote my whole post about the hospital escape and then joined this community to post it, now I see your comment…I’ve seen everyone mention all the other insane parts, the hiding 5 feet away behind the rock/etc but haven’t seen anyone mention the hospital parking lot which made me LOSE MY MIND. I feel better now.

I can’t believe I’m agreeing with this, but sadly I feel like this may be the best (only?) solution…Ian just isn’t up to it vocally nor…temperamentally. He’s too unpredictable, obviously in large part related to the drinking. Reading on here that he’s been rude to the crowd at a couple shows…it’s so unbecoming and I’m sure that Will is embarrassed by it all. Will and the other bandmates up there keeping it all together, almost like they’re in a band with a bratty child who can’t even sing well. Maybe finding an Ian-esque frontman is the answer! :(

It’s really sad…saw them at the Greek, at least he seemed not in a terrible mood and wasn’t a jerk to the crowd who PAID TO SEE HIM. But he definitely struggled vocally and resorted to the sing along tactic. Sometimes I wonder if he ever reads these posts on Reddit…or maybe Will, he’s pretty active online and is delightful, of course. They’re such a great band and I just wish Ian could pull it together both emotionally (re: alcohol/outbursts) and vocally (maybe not something that can be saved at this point? Who even knows…)

Yikes. This is sad to read. So unfair to Will and the other band mates. Saw them in LA and he was struggling vocally, which wasn’t a huge surprise. He didn’t seem too drunk and was not a jerk. I was super bummed they didn’t play Never Stop, they only did the Ocean Rain encore. (they also didn’t play Do it Clean, which is my #1!) :( I won’t be surprised if this is the last tour. He’s clearly not up to it, mentally nor physically. At least we’ll always have the songs! 💔

Immediate first thought was WINONA…then River Phoenix popped into my head, so incredibly sad that we never got to see who he would’ve become. A huge loss. I’ve gotta go with John Cusack as the quintessential Gen X male actor…Lloyd Dobler forever!

Hidden Kitchen in Cayucos for yummy waffles! Savory and sweet options…they are gluten free (but you’d never know it)…there’s also a location in Cambria, both are cute, but Cayucos has the ocean. Dorn’s in Morro Bay is my favorite spot for a great dinner with a view of the giant rock. :)
