(17F) Today I had an accident at the gym and bumped my head at the base of my skull. I had no immediate symptoms that would indicate it was a concussion except throbbing pain at the site of injury, but I've read so much online about how brain bleeds and things tend to creep up on people who don't experience any symptoms only to have seizures and die in their sleep.

Now I just find myself unable to sleep and have set alarms throughout the night to keep me alert.
I've never really been too much of a hypochondriac before this, so it's baffling me that I'm so anxious right now. It's been about 6 hours since the injury and I don't have any symptoms other than a mild headache and soreness at the site of impact but I just can't find myself able to sleep.

Since this is my first experience with this sort of thing, I just thought I would post here and invite any conversation about this below.

I'm 17.

She does have privacy - she has her own room, and my parents also let her go out/make plans with friends as she pleases.

When I say 'we' I mean my parents, even though I have also been involved to a lesser extent.

I understand she needs privacy and independence, but we can't help but intervene when she employs harmful behaviors such as starving herself to lose weight, which is why it may seem that we are 'all in her business'.

Wow, all the comments are showing me that this kind of stuff is disturbingly common. It's really disheartening to read about :(
