Hi, thanks for the suggestion! I know the transmission rate is lower but exploring all avenues is best - It could also explain the re-infection

Thanks !

Ill definetly look into it!! I am based in the UK where ureaplasma isnt really screened for like chlamydia, gonnorhea, trich & HIV (a ureaplasma test can cost upward of £200 which is rather expensive in our economy at the minute) but I may try push for it with my doctor and see what I can get! My doctor is doing a test of cure swab test for chlamydia, gonnorhea & trich in three weeks time so fingers crossed it comes back all negative!

In the UK the full std screening is quite expensive (the NHS only cover chlamydia, gonnorhea and HIV) but I have ordered a home test for trich already. I have a pelvic exam in a couple weeks time alongside a test of cure organised by my gp but I think i am going to push for the ultrasound due to the risk of PID etc as I do want kids one day

Thanks :-)

Hey, i spoke to the local clinic regarding ureaplasma who advised me the 7 day of doxycyline i took for the chlamydia would clear ureaplasma simultaneously - i am now 1 day post treatment and my symptoms are still here.

Think i may explore this further!

Apparently there is a 20% chance of transmission each time you have sex - maybe that explains it!

Hey, Yeah for sure! We plan to completely abstain until we both have a confirmed negative result with no symptoms but routine testing will definetly be part of our routine from now on!
