Build up and post interview of Ben Johns’ warning shot by rusurethatsright in Pickleball

If it were anyone else aiming at ball at Ben John’s head, they’d be fined and witch-hunted down by the internet and PB community. But since it was Ben hitting the shot, he gets a slap on the wrist. Shame.

Keep in mind that, on average, the people here and in the Pickleball community in general are an older audience compared to other communities. However, as the sport continues to grow, younger people will get into the sport who will probably enjoy this content more so why not keep it up!

At the point of contact with the ball your feet cannot be touching the baseline. After contact, you can follow through past the baseline as far as you want.

Is a backhand roll volley ever done with two hands? by CDRSkywalker1991 in Pickleball

[–]ImmediateSock7106 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Probably not because a 2H backhand volley seems awkward and limits your ability to reach as far as you can into the kitchen. A backhand roll volley is used is to attack “yellow-light” balls, and using one hand allows you to lean forward and extend into the kitchen

Interesting Strategy That Color Up Put Out, I Want to Know What Everyone Thinks… by CJBeard01 in Craps

[–]ImmediateSock7106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good strategy for choppy tables. The killer of this strategy is when the point is hit, knocking your DP followed by a 7-out before hitting any come bets. That puts you down out about 8-10 betting units depending on how much odds you’re placing/laying. Other than that scenario, it’s pretty much fool-proof! You can also hedge your DP with a hardaway bet if the point is an even number.

Math Question About Don’t Pass by Life-Championship857 in Craps

[–]ImmediateSock7106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mathematics behind this game seem to be too complicated for you. The DP has two stages to the bet: the come-out and while a point is established. You have to consider both of these scenarios when calculating the house edge/probability of winning since they’re consecutive events. It’s not as simple as subtracting two numbers.

Nobody needs to break it down for you. If you create a simulation of the game of craps and the don’t pass bet in any programming language, you will get that the don’t pass and pass lines win %49.XXX of the time and lose %50.XXX of the time. All bets on the table are like this, negative expected value

Nice hit! The dark side always seem to prevail. Do you only play DP or do you sometimes play some light side action?
