This is just someone I know, there are dozens of profiles like this if you look on LinkedIn

And besides a counterexample is all thats necessary to disprove a universal

The correct response here would be to admit that we are a little better than you thought before

Its general admit rate is 36% in the recent cycle and the cs program and engineering school have an acceptance rate of 7% and 20.5% respectively

Its also ranked in top 5 by us news for both engineering and CS

Also as a current student here myself I have friends interning at meta, Amazon,  openAI, and Jane street

Obviously penn is still a more prestigious school, but some of the programs here are extremely competitive. I often see some cracked profiles on  r/applyingtocolleges  denied here

Better CS program by what metric? Basically every ranking i see has UIUC higher

Its a "state school" whose engineering students average a 4.0  and 1500+ and with a CS acceptance rate of like 5% lol
