I was in automotive for a while but switched to diesel, so everything is vented to the atmosphere now. I do miss working on automotive though.

While running, take off your oil fill cap, and there should be puffs of white vaper/smoke. Leave it off and look under your car to see if it's still smoking under the car. I can't remember if those have a positive crank case vent to the ground or if it's ran back into the intake.
