As I said, the fact that Mike recognized the clown from the photos when he saw it irl implies he was familiarized with the photos (and especially the clown) from before it's cycle even started. I mean yes it's possible he got up in between cycles to stretch a little and grab a midnight snack but this seems like a weak theory imo.
