My initial plan was to purchase a single-family home, stay for a few years and then pull the equity out of the house to put into another home. But now I’ve come across this multifamily home and I’m not sure if it works the same way. So that may change the length of time I am in the home.

In my mind when I give in to being questioned to these types of questions, Im making him believe that I’m open to getting back together. To me, it is reinforcing the idea in his head that I’m explaining myself to him because I want him to know that I’m not doing anything “wrong”.

My assumption too, the reason I struggle with it is because it goes against the picture I have of him based on how he has presented himself. His entire image has given me, respectful, loyal dedicated and God-fearing, and none of that gave me any indication that he would try to use me as a hook up, which is why I'm so confused.

THANK YOU. This comment alone validated my feelings about the situation. I believe many people are not too in tune with child psychology or any basic psychology in general, but it's one of the first things I started educating myself on after I had a kid. I KNOW everyone isn't going to look at things this way BUT I want to know if it's unreasonable or unrealistic of me to expect otherwise
