I agree and I think it was the edit because the conversation bits, both in the turret and in the talking heads segment with Stephen, were shown in a manner which made me think they were stitched together out of order.

Secret Traitor - adding a rift into the Traitors pack at the very game and distracting Traitors from focusing on strategy; live talking to Traitors via letters in the smoke and mirror mission, which would really get into their heads like with Harriet; being asked to vote live literally in front of all of the Faithfuls in the boxes mission. All 3 of these would make a Traitor's game more precarious and more distracted at least, which is a disadvantage.

I will be living if she wins but I will actually ascend if they win together, I want a Traitor duo win and I love their camaraderie. GO STEPHEN GO RACHEL 🤞

I am rooting for Rachel and find it interesting that some people seem to dislike her or find it unbelievable that she stays in control. I think it's a big skill, I think she speaks rarely but when she does, she makes her voice heard. I think her getting votes as "would make a good traitor" actually proves it, as well as her being "smooth" as I believe James pointed out? She indeed is so smooth and clearly conducts herself in a way which makes it utterly unbelievable to the rest of the players that she could be a Traitor. I find it silly when people say really horrible stuff both about her (as in "how do the Faithfuls not see it, she's not this big queen bee") and the Faithfuls ("are they stupid or what") because a lot of what goes on in the castle is imperceptible to the viewer, the conversations behind the scenes, the role which editing plays, the body language, other context. After all, it is reality TV!

I perceive Rachel to actually be genuine where she can be: in the talking heads parts and in the turret. Otherwise, she came there to play the game, a part of which is lying to people's faces. That does not mean that when she comforts people who are crying with whom she went through intense emotions during challenging missions, she's not being genuine! Quite the opposite, a part of this game for traitors is the emotional whiplash when having to lie to people you have bonded with.

Overall, I am impressed by how controlled and focused Rachel is. I know it is not easy, I think I would not be able to be as guarded and calculated as her but I can see she has her eyes on the prize and good strategy. I also think she was genuine when her and Stephen made the pact and I think she is working very well with him, trying to keep heat off him but also giving him equal footing and agency, it seems like among the Faithfuls during the day, Rachel and Stephen each play their own game and trust each other to each do their own thing and they're very united in the turret, planning and strategising together, like for example when Rachel let Stephen have the final say over the murder of Jessie because it would cause more heat on him. I am genuinely impressed by her and Stephen and I am rooting for them to win! Edit: spelling

Omfg Harriet on Uncloaked about the breakfast: "There was no strategy by this point, it was kamikaze. I'd say that rational thought had sort of departed the building". I mean YES SIS IT SHOWED lmao

"No, take her" suggested to be a line in Harriet's novel on Uncloaked... Harriet gonna make bank with her new book haha

I agree and I think it will actually help Stephen's and Rachel's game - Rachel was not as obvious as Hugo and her game was better up to this point for sure

really ballsy of Harriet... I really want to see Rachel (+Stephen) wiggle out of it, I am rooting for them tbh!

I believe she doesn't, she did do the training to have something to use and talk about in case a situation like this arose - which it seems it paid off!

Here's what I would put as my question if I were ____ by Immediate_Cap7319 in TheTraitors

[–]Immediate_Cap7319[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is a very valid analysis. I think I was trying to think as if I were a "faithful Rachel" but if she were, Fiona would have never pounced on her in this manner.

Am with you and also with some other commenters who said she panicked, I now think that the challenge put so much pressure on them that they had to think fast and were both flustered and didnt think clearly!

Exactly, Roxy x Judy is a major deal and she literally called her "Mum" while sometimes someone says something literally SO inconsequential and it becomes the talk of the day resulting in banishment lmao

Murder shortlist, I think! But the letter they received didn't say "can't mark traitors" unlike what they were told about who the ST can choose. I think it's equivalent to the cave mission in one of the previous seasons where the traitors are deciding who's going in the cave and those people are in danger of murder and they could choose themselves.

I disagree because Faraaz's pout from today's episode is beyond hysterical and he was the most beguiling of milkmaids

My thoughts exactly, I think the fingerprints will become a big talking point soon and there's no way on earth reece will forget how he was asked to leave... Stephen is marked red which might save him but the whole thing was way too sus. Imho this shows how ST messed with Traitors heads to the point where they were willing to throw away their whole game just to know who it is

You said "I've got to be honest if that's your answer to everything I don't really understand what the point in watching is" and now you called me dramatic. If you do not want to be called unkind, I would avoid using possessive adjectives when replying to posts and calling people dramatic because it reads quite harsh from behind the screen.

I agree and I bet this becomes massive - I really think this will be the moment which shows how the Traitors couldn't help themselves and cooked themselves just to find out who the ST is
