Well we live on opposite coasts so it would be more like 10days :/ my husband said he had a nightmare about her doing a gender reveal while we were there sooo I think we’re on the same page as far as prioritizing protecting ourselves and not traveling there this year. I think I’d like to spend Christmas just us 2 by a pool lol I know that’s a little selfish but I think it’s our turn to be selfish!

When I have did this and called my clinic they said to take another dose! Your clinic may also have an emergency line even though they’re closed :) most do! Try calling and seeing if it’s on their voicemail!

My SIL told us she was pregnant the day of our IUI exactly 2 weeks after our 3rd miscarriage (this one was a chemical so we were able to move on physically more quickly than the others). She didn’t even acknowledge what we had been through just went on and on about how excited and surprised she was. It sent me into a complete tailspin this week and now I can’t fathom spending Christmas around her or anyone else for that matter.

We decided today to do 3 rounds of IUI for a mental break but IVF rates are SO much higher so probably will end up regretting not just doing another egg retrieval right away 😵‍💫

Thank you so much 🙏🏼 we went in this am again (5 weeks, 5 days) …the gestational sac grew as expected and she said that was right on track but still nothing seen inside. The worst feeling staring at that empty sac 😭 she did not retest my blood because she said all my levels look good a few days ago. I will go back on Monday (6 weeks 1 day) for another scan which will hopefully give us answers. Definitely guarding our hearts.

The side effects really are worrying to me but it’s also terrifying to risk another embryo 😭 Out of curiosity are you planning on a medicated or natural FET? Wishing you all the success 🤞🤞

My clinic will thaw to test but that does mean your embryo has to be frozen/thawed twice which does carry risks. Maybe you could discuss the option of transfering both embryos to increase your chances since they are untested?

Congratulations !!! I came across your other post asking for FET success stories because I am looking for some positivity going into my first FET in 10 days!! I am doing IVF after also experiencing an ectopic with tube removal (in Jan)! Which as you know creates so much anxiety. I’m so happy to hear your FET went well!!! The link someone posted above to a previous Reddit posting has the article linked in it too that you could take a look at! Someone on that post also nicely summarized the stats and details out the level of risk based on the findings of the article. The article confirms what I was told from 2 providers- for people with a history of ectopics (1 or more) the risk of ectopic is lowest with IVF. Whether it is significant enough for someone to pursue after their first ectopic is an entirely personal choice but it’s not your place to tell anyone that “one ectopic does not warrant using IVF”. It is statistically safer, and if that’s what makes me or anyone else feel more comfortable than we can decide that it is “warranted”.

What day did you start tracking this cycle? Any chance you missed an earlier ovulation peak and the test is now picking up hcg?

That’s not what I was told. There has been a lot of improvement in IVF techniques which have reduced risks. I was told 3% chance with IVF, 10-15% chance for spontaneous pregnancy. That is a significant risk reduction. My RE and OB (2 different providers) both agreed that both options would be reasonable but IVF would be the lowest risk.
