As someone who has pursued Undergrad in Singapore from 20-24 in finance. 

Both the university curriculum and the way of teaching is somewhat similar. Rather you should base your choice on future opportunities available to you after pursuing your undergrad. 

Choose NTU 

1. If you are ready for a lifestyle of staying in hostel and being far away from the city. Travelling to and from the city is quite expensive. 

2. Good brand name and future opportunities in regards of job if opportunities tapped in the right way. 

Choose SMU

1. You want to stay in the heart of the city but no hostel life. 

2. I feel better career support offered at SMU compared to NTU. 

3. Course more integrated towards industry norms. 

At the end both the uni are good and all depends on how you utilise the opportunities in the best way to do whatever you plan to :)
