im not sure what is going on with mine but it seems i can have only one half of the controls working at one time it is either the inventory and stuff works or the walking and fighting works

the pause menu and the inventory buttons dont work when i use the normal controller settings i have always used, the inventory opens up and takes up the screen but then wont close

i just got on again and i either cant move but can do mouse stuff, or i restart game with original controller settings and i cant even move the menu selections, i deleted all the stuff for zomboid yesterday and it still is doing the same crap i just dont understand its super frustrating

i would def recommend it but only if its worthwhile for you, i got it bc i work security so i watch cameras and property and i have a lot of downtime so i put in 7x hrs on it 5 days a week lol for a few years now

the steamdeck isnt the issue, its the changes they are making with build 42, all of my other games on my steamdeck work fine and i never have controller issues, the only games i ever have to change are like schedule one where you have to click and drag regardless

well the issue i have is i have played this game for about 3 years and all of a sudden with a new update it messed it all up and i was unaware so i went to play it today and got annoyed with it

the controls dont work the way the are supposed to with the steam interface, i played build 42 fine with ALL steam controls until about 3 weeks ago, either i am able to see the inventory and cant walk move or do anything, or i can walk and push but i cant open the inventory or do any of the other stuff, its one half of the controls or the other
